Yesterday was a pretty special day for me because I released a book baby into the world! The multi-author series that Love Pact with the Hero is a part of literally started a year ago last October. At that time we (along with the rest of the world!) had no idea how much would happen between then and now. It’s been extra challenging to be creative and productive this year, as I’m sure you’d agree. That’s why I’m extra grateful that God gave me the strength and grace to write and publish this book.
I can’t wait for you to read this story… but first let me tell you why you shouldn’t read it!
Don’t read Love Pact with the Hero if…
- You don’t like cute kids. This story has the cutest little redheaded girl named Miah. I love writing children into my stories because they can get away with saying and doing things that adults can’t. They also make the best matchmakers. If you don’t like spunky and adorable three-year-olds, you should steer clear of this book!
- You don’t like hunky guys. The leading man in this story is Jeremiah Gilbert (and yes, I named him after Gilbert Blythe from Anne of Green Gables). While he’s not a doctor like his namesake, he does mend hearts, specifically the heart of his childhood best friend, Haven. Jeremiah is a bodyguard, so he’s tough on the outside, but he also has a strong faith in the Lord since having experienced God’s redemption in his life. If you don’t appreciate hunky and faithful men, you won’t appreciate this story!
- You don’t like swoony kisses. I’m a big believer in writing stories with all the feels! While emotional closeness is key to a good relationship, we can’t forget about a couple’s physical attraction and chemistry. That’s why I love writing swoony kissing scenes. I made sure to include one in this book, so be forewarned if you’re not a fan of them!
- You don’t believe in second chances. Love Pact with the Hero is ALL about second chances. A second chance for Haven to find love again after she loses her husband. A second chance for her and Jeremiah to reunite for a wedding a dozen years after they lost touch. And most importantly, a second chance for them to revisit a pact they made as teenagers. If you can’t tell, I love writing (and reading) about second chances. These stories are so much richer because of the couple’s history and the pay off of them getting their happy ever after is so much greater as well. If you dislike second chance romances, you should think twice about reading this book!
That said, I hope you can tell that this list was all made in good fun! I would LOVE for you to read my new book, not only because it was a huge labor of love for me to write, but because I truly believe in its message. That God is a God of second chances and He is always there for us even when our faith is lacking.
Love Pact with the Hero is now available for only 99¢ for a limited time. You can also read it for free with Kindle Unlimited. Grab your copy on Amazon today! (CLICK HERE)

I love cute kids and second chances! I like swoony kisses if they aren’t over-the-top or border on sexual. I like hunky guys, but I prefer normal heroes and heroines that aren’t movie-star gorgeous and I can relate to.

HAHA….I read books for all those reasons :-) I know I’d certainly enjoy “Love Pact”…..second chance love stories are my favorite!
Lincoln says
Okay, let me overthink this. A precious little one who speaks the truth in joyful love. A man who is a captivating picture of the Lover of our Souls. Kisses that draw our hearts into the story of the love of our hero and heroine. And, finally, a story that revolves around the kind of impossible yet actual hope that every one of us longs for in our life and that Jesus promises us abundantly.
Hmm, yeah. I’m in!
Ausjenny says
