This week, we will hit one of my favorite times of year — the winter equinox. I love when the days start creeping longer, pushing through the overwhelming darkness that precedes things. Much like Jesus, the Light of the World, came so that we would no longer have to walk in darkness.
Is there something other than Christmas itself that you look forward to during this time of year?

Hi Elizabeth, I do quite like the long dark evenings when you can be cosy at home, but it is always nice to get to the equinox and know things are moving back towards lighter days.
I really enjoy the new starts and possibilities of the New Year, making plans and resolutions, I find it a really positive point if the winter (or winter for me, I know it’s summer for some people here!).
Elizabeth Maddrey says
Nice! That’s good and cool for Florida!

Thank you so much for sharing. I would have to say one thing that I look forward to is being with Jesus whether it be by the rapture or dying. It would be wonderful to be able to sit at His feet and learn all he has to share. Merry Christmas. God bless you.
Elizabeth Maddrey says
Yes indeed.

I enjoy the warmer and longer days myself. After Christmas we always have the Boxing day test (Cricket). I also like that the time from Christmas Eve to after the New Year Day as several days are public holidays and its a time of relaxing.
Elizabeth Maddrey says
That is a lovely stretch of days.
