Like most of you, I enjoy reading a good romance. Especially a good, clean romance with Christian values. Heartsong Presents delivers exactly that wrapped up in an easy to read book. Perfect for our busy life styles.
I’m thrilled to have my editor, Kathy Davis, with us today. She has graciously agreed to answer a few questions about the Heartsong Presents line.
Kimberly: What are the top three things readers should know about Heartsong Presents?
Kathy: It’s now part of the Love Inspired franchise, and therefore has similar guidelines.
We publish two historicals and two contemporaries every month. Readers can get the four books each month, or can get four contemporaries or four historicals bimonthly.
We strive for a wide variety of interesting settings and characters without sacrificing favorite themes and characters.
Kimberly: I like that readers can choose the bi-monthly option if they prefer one genre over the other.
What makes Heartsong Presents books stand apart from the rest of romance books?
Kathy: Heartsongs are inspirational lovestories with wholesome values and an emphasis on family and community. At the heart of the series is faith, but not the type that hits people over the head. These stories are never preachy. They feature realistic characters who live in the real world and have real problems and challenges. Some are tearjerkers; others are more lighthearted and humorous. But they’re all good, clean reads with a sweet romance at the core.
Kimberly: Thanks, Kathy! If a reader wanted to subscribe to the direct to home program how would they do that?
Kathy: New readers can request two free books to try out the club by writing the Harlequin Reader Service at PO Box 9049, Buffalo, NY 14269-9049. Or by calling 1-800-873-8635 (7 am-11pm EST M-F). Or email customerservice@harlequin.com.
Kimberly: Do you want to know anything from our readers?
Kathy: We love to get feedback from readers. We’d like to know what themes, settings, and characters they enjoy. Who are their favorite Heartsong authors/books from the past year or so? What would they like to see more of/less of in the future? Send feedback to Heartsong@harlequin.ca.
Fantastic! Okay everyone, this is your chance to try out a Heartsong Presents book. They have made it very easy by offering two free books.
Do you have a question about Heartsong Presents line? I can’t guarantee, Kathy will have the time to check in and answer, but I’ll try.
In case you missed my post in June, here’s the blurb for my latest book with Heartsong Presents which is pictured above.
SUSAN HILL ISN’T READY TO FORGIVE
The small-town CPA can’t forget how Blake Mitchell jilted her and left their hometown without an explanation. But when her first love returns to Leavenworth, the ruggedly handsome writer evokes conflicting emotions, especially when Susan meets the child she assumes is his daughter.
Since his parents’ deaths six years ago, Blake’s been raising his little sister on his own. But he’s never forgotten the woman he left behind. Now, he can’t undo the past, but maybe he can change the future…if he can convince Susan to give him one more chance.

Kimberly and Kathy, thanks for your interview. I love writing for Heartsong and reading the diverse range of stories :)
I enjoy heartsong presents have right from when the line first came out as they are easy to read. I have loved that they will have books set in other countries like my own Australia. Have loved both Mary Hawkins and now Narelle Atkins books.
Some of my favourite authors started with or have writen HP books like Susan Paige Davis, Vickie McDonough, Mary Coneally to name a few.
Are writers guidelines available?
I love reading a good plotline and knowing that it’s going to inspirational just doubles the pleasure. Thank you for sharing the interview.
