A Season of Change

September 19, 2020 by Kimberly Rose Johnson

It feels like I’ve been in a season of change for the past year. I don’t know about you, but I’m not a fan of change most of the time, so I tend to resist it, until I finally accept it and then embrace it. This past year has been a huge time of change […]

A Strong Foundation

August 20, 2020 by Kimberly Rose Johnson

Everything should be built on a strong foundation if it is intended to stand the test of time. That is as true for a house as it is for a story. Story needs a strong foundation. Think of your favorite books. What do they have in common: a phenomenal story world or perhaps amazing […]

The Art of a Staycation

July 21, 2020 by Kimberly Rose Johnson

If you are anything like me you are staying close to home this summer. I thought it would be fun to talk about staycations. There is an art to a staycation. For instance, it wouldn’t be much of a vacation if you had to cook, so takeout is a must. :) Basically, if it’s something […]

The Power of Friendships

June 17, 2020 by Kimberly Rose Johnson

Recently I was reminded of the power of friendship when I held a live/video Facebook party to celebrate a new release. I was a little concerned that no one would show up live, and I’d be there for the specified thirty minutes all alone. But my friends came to the rescue. I wasn’t […]

The Power of Restoration in Fiction and Giveaway

May 20, 2020 by Kimberly Rose Johnson

Restoration is the act of taking something back to its original form or making it better. We restore houses, cars, old furniture, and even relationships. Like anything else that is restored, the likelihood of returning a relationship to the exact original state is unlikely, but let’s be honest, if a relationship was perfect to […]

It Is Well With My Soul

April 22, 2020 by Kimberly Rose Johnson

At the beginning of 2020 I put together my publishing schedule for the year. If I stick to the plan I will have five books release this year. I will also work on a script or two, depending on time. I’m not stressed about this plan, but rather cautiously optimistic even though multiple obstacles have […]

He’s There in the Good and Bad Times.

March 20, 2020 by Kimberly Rose Johnson

What a difference a week makes! I wrote this post a little more than a week ago and the world we live in today was a very different place. I considered a rewrite but it’s still relevant. I hope you find the following post helpful and encouraging in some way in these uncertain times. I […]

When Life Throws you Ice Cubes Make Hot Chocolate

February 20, 2020 by Kimberly Rose Johnson

Last month my husband and I were able to get away for a short trip to Disney World. I craved sunshine and heat and had found an amazing deal. Sadly, the weather didn’t cooperate. It was literally freezing one morning. Below is the outfit I wore on our last day in the park. It was […]

Ready or Not, 2020 is Here!

January 6, 2020 by Kimberly Rose Johnson

I like to ease into the new year. LOL Though I’m not sure that’s possible, since like it or not, 2020 is here. Facing the unknown can be daunting. Personally, I like knowing what is to come, that way I can be prepared. But life doesn’t always work that way. Professionally, I know I have […]
