About Valerie Comer

Valerie Comer is a USA Today bestselling author and a two-time Word Award winner who writes where food meets faith and fiction. She injects experience laced with humor into her green clean romances. Her life on a small farm in western Canada provides the seed for stories of contemporary inspirational romance. Like many of her characters, Valerie and her family grow much of their own food and are active in the local foods movement as well as their church. She only hopes her creations enjoy their happily-ever-afters as much as she does hers, shared with her husband, adult kids, and adorable granddaughters.

April 7, 2024 by Valerie Comer

On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly […]

Closed for Good Friday

March 29, 2024 by Valerie Comer

It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his […]

Sunday Edition

March 17, 2024 by Valerie Comer

Welcome to winter driving! My hubby and I spent a few days watching our daughter’s three girls earlier this week. While the valley bottoms are snow-free, the same isn’t true of the mountain passes! We were actually very happy to see so much snow along the roads on the heights. Snow came late up there, […]

Sunday Edition

March 10, 2024 by Valerie Comer

February is THE big birthday month in our family. Both our son and son-in-law have February birthdays, as well as our daughter’s three girls! That makes five out of eleven birthdays in the shortest month! (October comes second with three birthdays. The rest of us get our own months LOL.) One Saturday in mid-February, we […]

Sunday Edition

March 3, 2024 by Valerie Comer

And now it is March! Around here (southeastern British Columbia) we had a few weeks of winter back in January with nasty cold temperatures and some snow. That’s all the snow that fell in the valley bottom… until we had a few inches this past week that melted just as quickly. It’s been a super […]

Happy 10th Birthday Inspy Romance!

February 14, 2024 by Valerie Comer

We opened our virtual doors ten years ago, in February, 2014! 84 bloggers have been part of our story over this decade. It’s been everything I envisioned from the beginning: a fun, vibrant place for authors and readers of CCR to connect. I’m grateful to the blogging authors who have been here since the very […]

Now Playing

February 9, 2024 by Valerie Comer

Are you into playlists for novels? I’ll be honest. I’m not, as a general rule. I have never yet hunted down an author’s music choices to play on repeat while I read their novel. But, I think there are two kinds of playlists. The first is the background music some authors curate to set the […]
