Thank you Sarah for joining us today! The cover of your novella collection is adorable, and of course, the title is intriguing! How did you come up with it? And what does it mean to you?
Aww, thanks! I have to admit, I kind of love it, too. I came across these adorable graphics one day on accident and knew that they would be perfect for book covers. I didn’t have any stories planned, but the inspiration was sparked and that’s all it took. Haha, I don’t remember but I probably came across them when I was procrastinating from writing. Messing around with cover designs is my favorite way to procrastinate. Shhh… don’t tell anyone. ;)  As far as the title…well, it just seemed to fit! Every novella is about a book nerd (bibliophile, literature professor, and author) and their love stories so the boyfriends part fit as well as being an alliteration, which I adore.

Tell us about one of the book boyfriends in the collection and maybe tell us about one of your favorite contemporary Christian romance book boyfriends another author has created.
 Ack! You’re going to make me pick one? How about just a really short rundown of all three? Pretty please? heehee.
Sure! I understand!
So…Tate Woodby in Bookishly Ever After is a best-friend musician with the patience of a saint. Landon Novak in Literarilly For Keeps is an IT guy with the rugged physique of a lumberjack who has a hidden agenda to agreeing to a fake marriage. Novelly Upon a Time spotlights Kyo Tanaka, the heroine’s arch-enemy who may have more than one reason to push her buttons. 
As to favorite contemporary book boyfriend by another author… again, you’re going to make me chose just one? Eeep! This is too hard! Ummm… I’m going to have to go with one of Nicole Deese’s heroes. Kai from  All for Anna is one of my all time favorites. He’s Samoan, a paramedic with a killer voice, compassionate, caring, patient, and hunky! Hmm…I think I might need to reread this book again soon!

What led you to become a book nerd and a writer?
Story has always been an important part of my life. I would get in trouble for reading too much. I kid you not. Although, to be fair, I was told to do a chore and my “one more chapter” probably turned into a lot more than that. Creating stories naturally evolved from there. I entered a few writing contests as a child and had some stories and poems published in anthologies. It wasn’t until I was in college that I attempted a full-length novel. The rest, as they say, is history.

  4. Hi Janet and Sarah. Sarah, I loved these novellas:) I’m a huge bookworm (as is everyone here:) and these stories were lots of fun. I enjoy a good novella, but also love a good novel- there is definitely a place for both on my kindle. It all depends on time and mood as to which I read at the moment.

  23. I have come to the realization that I actually prefer the length of a novella best. The character development still needs to be deep, but I can’t stand fluff. Just get met to the heart of the story quickly and let’s get it done! :D

  24. Novellas are fun and this one sounds pretty epic. I love the cover and how it was chosen before the book was written! I was that child that always had her nose in a book. Growing up on a farm, it drove my mom nuts to have to constantly pull me away from a book to do my chores. I finally learned to climb into the treehouse when I wanted to read because it was far away enough from the house that I couldn’t hear my mom calling me and she never climbed up to find me! :)

  38. I usually read novels because I enjoy the longer length. This collection sounds like a lot of fun, though.

  70. I enjoy novellas when I don’t want to get too sidetracked with a book. I set myself limits for reading. My kids used to get into trouble for reading when they should be doing homework! I don’t think their teachers had ever had that explanation for unfinished homework before.
