If you’re following ‘A Tuscan Legacy’, you’ll know the final book in the series, La Risposta, is releasing soon. In La Risposta you’ll learn the answers to the family mystery that has been developing through the 9-book series.
The stories span three continents, and are a cultural learning experience. The USA is a ‘foreign setting’ to me, being an Aussie. I’ve either visited or travelled by train through eleven US States, although I’ve never made it as far as the East Coast. One day I hope to see the Atlantic Ocean! Instead, I enjoy travelling to the eastern states in romance stories. Today I’m sharing my recommendation for Luna Rosa, set in D.C.
Book Description:
She loves the spotlight, he prefers backstage. Can they still play love’s duet?
Nick Carter’s career as a piano tuner and teacher keeps him off-stage and allows him plenty of time to compose music he has no intention of ever publishing. Enter Louisiana Chalfant, the new symphony pianist who embodies the word diva. She’s exactly the kind of woman Nick has vowed to avoid, but when they’re cajoled into playing a duet he finds there’s more to her than he first thought.
Louisiana settles into her temporary role with the symphony in Washington, D.C., glad for the reprieve from touring professionally. She’s astonished to discover immense talent in the handsome man who keeps her piano in tune. Practicing for a duet at church gives her the perfect opportunity to get to know the real Nick.
As they play together, Nick and Louisiana develop a friendship that begins to morph into something more, but what happens when their diverging goals threaten to upstage their love?
Narelle’s Thoughts:
I loved reading Luna Rosa and exploring Washington D.C., a city I’ve always wanted to visit, with Nick and Louisiana. The first meeting between Nick and Louisiana is awkward. Louisiana soon realizes that Nick is her opposite. She has built a successful career and chases after her dreams without fear of failure.
Nick’s music is very personal and his compositions are from the heart. He teaches piano lessons and tunes pianos and hides away his musical compositions. If he doesn’t share his music with the world, he can’t be rejected and he can’t fail.
Louisiana’s go-getter approach to life challenges Nick to step outside his comfort zone. Their friendship evolves into a heartwarming and fun romance. Louisiana’s southern charm and enthusiasm for life is contagious and she works hard to draw out the real Nick.
Nick’s twin is the globe trotting Piero (Piero’s romance story is in Bella Notte, Book 5). In Luna Rosa we gain an insight into the American branch of the Rossi family. The next book in the series, Rapsodia, features the romance of Nick’s older brother, Marco, in their home state of Texas. I highly recommend Luna Rosa to readers who enjoy contemporary romance.
Full disclosure: I enjoyed writing Sienna’s story (Solo Tu, Book 7) for A Tuscan Legacy and becoming immersed in the Tuscan Legacy story world.
Have you been following the Tuscan Legacy series? Do you like travelling to foreign places in fiction books? I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences.

Hi Narelle, I am thoroughly enjoying the Tuscan series- hanging out until July when book 9 is released. It is so expensive to fly from Australia, so ‘travelling’ through books is something I have been doing since I was a kid. My husband and I often say that when our boys are grown, then it will be our turn to travel to the places we have only visited in books. One day…:) I have to say, that I really enjoyed Sienna’s story and the familiar Aussie setting. Winter has definitely hit here in Victoria, so reading about Sienna and Dave on the beach playing cricket, enjoying sunny Sydney made me smile.
Stay warm this weekend (we are expecting some snow:)
Blessings:)

Hi Narelle! I also have been enjoy and traveling with the Tuscan Legacy series. I am anxiously awaiting book 9. The only way I have traveled to Australia and the Middle East is through books. I have been blest to be able to travel. Hubby and I have driven coast to coast in the USA. I put my toes in both the Atlantic (Florida) and Pacific Oceans (California). I have visited a little over half of the 50 states (26). I have also not been to the New England stated, but visited our nation’s capital at least 5 times. I also have visited 9 countries on 3 continents. Canada, our neighbor to the north, Germany (country of my birth), Austria, Switzerland, France, Poland, Netherlands, Great Britain, and Japan. Now in retirement, I prefer to stay closer to home or best yet travel through books from the comfort of my easy chair or bed – no passport required. Best wishes and Happy Writing.

Hi Renate, I’m glad you’ve had the opportunity to travel in real life and in the books you’ve read. Your nation’s capital is on my travel wish list. We’re all eagerly awaiting book 9 to learn the answers. :)

You’re very welcome. I really enjoyed seeing DC from Louisiana’s perspective. :)

Hi Jackie, Yes, you should definitely read through the series! Please send some of your hot weather down under. We did have a mild start to winter. The cold snap is welcomed at the ski fields and they’ve predicted it will snow all weekend. I hope you’ll get a break from the heat soon. :)

I’m a little biased too, but I love this book as well! Every author has brought something new and uniquely theirs to the series, and it’s been an amazing process. Like a patchwork quilt. Each piece is beautiful on its own, but add them together, and wow!

Oh, Narelle,
YES, I’ve been on this journey with all of you and I’m loving it!
I’ve had to put Rachel’s book on hold for a bit because of some other book commitments, but that okay since Autumn’s book (the last book) is not yet ready.
I’m really LOVING this whole series! Each book and author are so FANTASTIC!
I’m enjoying how they all connect!
I’m a little mixed in my feelings regarding reading Autumn’s book.
I really want to read it to find out answers to many of my questions, but yet I don’t because then the series will be over!
BOO HOO!
I hope God has richly blessed everyone who has read this series, because I know I’ve been blessed.
Thanks so much for all you ladies have done!

I don’t have a whole lot of desire to travel internationally but I love visiting different countries and cultures through the books I read, both fiction and non-fiction. I’m currently reading a non-fiction book about a journalist who took a cross-country trip on the Trans-Siberian Railroad and it has been fascinating to learn more about Russia.
