Y’all, I love to read but when I get my hands on that book–you know the one that pulls you in from the very first page and won’t let go–I really, really love to read.
Last week I saw fellow InspyRomance author, Valerie M. Bodden’s book Not Until You. I noted that it was a Hope Springs novel and since I read her Christmas one, I added this to my Kindle.
Now first off, I’m totally reading out of order. Usually it gets under my skin, but Valerie’s books can be read on their own and I don’t feel like I’m missing anything.
Anyway, I picked this up and decided to read it around eight o’clock at night. BIG mistake because I couldn’t stop reading it! I kept changing positions to ensure I wouldn’t fall asleep and I could keep reading this gripping tale.
Y’all, if you haven’t added this to your TBR pile, please do! First off, the characters are so very real and dealing with heartaches that some of us can only imagine. I absolutely loved the authenticity of the read and the people. Second, grab a box of tissues because they’ll be needed. Third, block off time so you won’t get mad if you’re interrupted or nearing bedtime and end up staying up all hours to finish. Fourth, enjoy her writing because she has such a poignancy to her tales, you’ll just want to savor the read.
And if you won’t take my word (which is just fine), then read the blurb for further convincing. ;)
About the Book
She clings to the past like a treasured antique. He’d rather toss it in the trash. But if they can learn to trust in the God of second chances, they might just discover a future together.
The past is all she has… After her husband’s death three years ago, Violet has struggled to keep their antique store afloat and her grief at bay. She’s not succeeding at either very well. Her best friend tells her it’s time to move on. But she knows that loving another man would be a betrayal of her husband and the life they had together. Even if her strong, silent new neighbor makes her heart do funny things.
The past haunts him… Nate’s star was rising in the world of Christian music. But all that was erased with a single, life-shattering mistake. One he doesn’t deserve to be forgiven for—ever. One that means he doesn’t deserve a future—and definitely not with the beautiful new neighbor who makes him feel things he shouldn’t be allowed to feel. Because if she knew about his past, she’d never be able to forgive him, either.
Can they have a future? As the two work together to save her store, neither can deny the feelings that are starting to develop. But when Nate’s secret is exposed, they have to decide if they should walk away—or trust that the God of second chances may just have a plan for their future.
Filled with faith, hope, and second chances, NOT UNTIL YOU will touch your heart and leave you breathless with the power of true love.
