Boxed sets!
Three to over ten books in one “set.” Some are themed–some just have a common element, like love, that bind them together.
Some of the ladies here are in one titled “Splash!” releasing at the end of June.
I’ve already ordered my copy! This sounds like fun reading. And what better way to get a lot of great stories for one price.
I do like the “invasion of the boxed set.” :) Especially if you find a theme you love and wow–you have a multitude of books to read.
I also think it’s a great way to find new authors to read. You may have read one or two of the authors in a set. But then as you read, you come across someone else you love and as soon as your done with their story you go and check out what other books they have available.
I’m in a boxed set being released in July. It’s not faith-based per say, but all the stories are sweet contemporary stories. The title of the set is Then He Kissed Her. When the gal in charge asked if we liked the title, I said YES!! (I love it!)
My novella in the boxed set is titled Uptown Heiress. It’s the start of a new novella series for me. I’m excited and thrilled to be a part of the set. Here’s the blurb for my novella.
Uptown Heiress
At an after-party for the reality series, Love Atlanta Style, hotel empire heiress Grace Adams has an epiphany. Love isn’t a game and neither is life. It’s time to find a job and prove she doesn’t need Daddy’s money.
Waiter, Justin Walker, is biding his time working for the rich crowd who thinks they’re owed everything. But his service pays off when he meets the beautiful Grace Adams. He asks her out, oblivious to the fact that she’s a hotel heiress.
When they find out they are competing for the same job, Grace and Justin try to maintain their budding friendship and romance, until Justin discovers the truth. Grace represents all he tries to avoid. Will Justin’s view of high society stand in his way of finding love? Will Grace’s heart shatter as she finds love only to lose it? Or will time-honored truths show Grace and Justin the beauty of everlasting love.
Love Atlanta Style is an Atlanta based bachelor-type show. There are ten girls on the show to begin with and of course only one girl is chosen. My novella series follows the lives of the other nine girls that didn’t get chosen. The novellas have a faith-based story. I’m super excited about this series.
What about you? Are you a fan of boxed sets? Why or why not. Have you discovered a new author you love by reading a boxed set?

I’ve picked up a couple of boxed sets for my Kindle recently and have won a boxed set (Summer of Love). I can’t say whether I like boxed sets of books or not, but I do like the author variety they offer. Like you said, it gives you a taste of authors who you know or maybe get introduced to new ones. And then, if you are anything like me, you find you like a new author, you start looking for other books by them. And in the end, they are probably on your list of “favorites”. See a win-win in my book (pun intended)….you get some great books and the authors get a new reader!
I’m looking to do a future purchase of “Splash” since I know most of the authors who have written for that set. And several have talked about their book so it gets me excited and looking forward to it! I think I would like yours too, Lindi. I’d like to know what happens to the other 9 girls :-) Thanks for the wonderful post today, I enjoyed reading it!

I ordered Splash as a way to read works by Christian authors I haven’t read in the past. Plus it was a great deal on a boxed set! I will have to admit that I have purchased box sets in the past and found only one story in the whole set that was worth reading, but I’ve also had good experiences too. The good experiences include finding a new “favorite” author and therefore a whole new world of books to read and enjoy. Now if I could only find more time to read…
