Happy Monday!
Can you believe the end of the year is near? I’m shocked by how fast this year has flown by, but also excited to snuggle up with some Christmas reads and enjoy the holiday season. I know some of you may be thinking it’s too early for Christmas, but I’ve already started my Hallmark Christmas movie watching so it makes sense to switch my books up with some Christmas cheer. Below are some books on my TBR pile that I’ll be reading. In no particular order . . .
An Alaskan Christmas Promise by Belle Calhoune
What’s Christmas reading without an Alaskan story from Belle? She’s one of my favorite LI authors and I adore her books and a chance to peek at life in Alaska. This book will release November 29th so I’ll be ready to go in December.
Christmas Together by Bell Renshaw
I can’t resist a cover made by Bell Renshaw which means her books automatically get added to my pile. How else can I discover if the pages are as captivating as her covers? This book releases November 15th so you still have time to preorder.
Merry Ex-Mas by Courtney Walsh
This book is already out and on my Kindle! I’m hoping to start reading today or tomorrow. I adore the cover and Courtney has some great books in her backlist I’ve enjoyed. Have you read the Christmas book she released last year?
The Christmas Switch by Zoey Marie Jackson
I loved Ms. Jackson’s first LI book so it was a no-brainer to add this one to my TBR pile. The cover looks so adorable and inviting and I’m feeling all the warm vibes fromt he looks shared between the heroine and hero. Plus, the title is intriguing (no, I didn’t read the back cover on purpose).
Destination Christmas by Chautona Havig, Sarah Monzon, Cathe Swanson, and Jaycee Weaver
Two of these books are written by IR authors, and I’ve already read them because they’re my critique partners. But I still want to read the others and will probably reread theirs just because I can. :)
House Calls for the Holidays by Pat Simmons
This book is out already! I love the cover and I’m a fan of Pat Simmons’ writing so I snatched this up. It also helped that the book is 99¢, makes a purchase more justifiable. ;)
Well that’s my round up. I’m sure I’ll add more books to my pile because I see a pretty cover or because you’ll leave me awesome suggestions in the comments. :)
For a chance to win a paperback copy of my upcoming release, Her Christmas Redemption, tell me your favorite thing about Christmas books in the comments. Comment by 11/11/22 at 3:00pm EDT and I’ll pick a random winner. Please have a US mailing address. Thanks!
My favorite thing is the hope, joy, and happiness the books bring.
Oh I like that!
My favorite thing about Christmas books is that the romance is a teensy bit sweeter set in the holiday season.
I can agree with that. :)
It’s never to early for Christmas books! I love how hopeful they make me feel, if I’m feeling low a good romance and a reminder of the joy of our Saviour’s birth always makes me feel better.
Thanks for the Christmas reading suggestions, I will look them up.
Please don’t add me to the giveaway as i’m in the UK.
That reason makes me feel better as well.
My favorite thing about Christmas books is the Christmas spirit that is usually present in the stories. They are usually uplifting stories which warm your heart. It also puts me in the Christmas spirit. It is fun to escape into a beautiful, snow-filled world for a little while!
Agreed. Especially if snow isn’t something you’re used to.
Christmas books make you have Hope, Love and Joy and they are amazing to read anytime of the year! Have a Blessed Day!
Have a blessed day as well!
welcome today. thanks for sharing what is on your TBR pile. the all sound wonderful. I love to read Christmas stories all year long because of the happiness, the hope and the fun and love that is given to others and sometimes learned. we can all do with these
I agree. We can all do our part to spread hope, fun, and love!
I love reading about how one character helps another work through their problems with Christmas and the Chrisrmas season. I like the process of watching the second character’s heart melt a little at a time and how romance blossoms. I love the happily ever after and the journey from point A to point B. Judging by the title of your book, I pretty sure I would like to read it.
Yes! I love seeing them help each other too.
I get to experience weather I’ve never experienced in real life, mainly snow!!! This Floridian has never seen the white stuff, the closest I’ve gotten is slush. I read Christmas books any time!
That’s awesome. Maybe you’ll see snow one day.
I love the cover of the book with the dog on it.
I think someone needs to write a Christmas book featuring cats, kittens cos they are just as good (better even) as dogs. Think of all the scenes where they make the Christmas tree take a nap there could be.
I read A Quilt for Christmas and that was good. I have watched a few Hallmark Christmas movies (not from this year as we don’t have them here yet) but will be watching some.
Do you have a favorite Christmas movie?
way to many to choose from. I use to really like Christmas Shoes but haven’t really watched it since mum passed away.
A few I really liked were making ice sculptures. Also one that had a Merry go round in it. (cant spell the official name for it and spell check isn’t helping)
I like seeing the American Christmas but I would love to see a Christmas movie in places like Hawaii, Australia or warmer parts of the world.
Yeah I think a warmer Christmas movie/book would be fun too. Operation Christmas Drop I believe is set in Hawaii.
I read one set in Jamacia. a group of friends go there prior to Christmas and it was good being in a different place.
the decorations
Yes! So fun.
I love to read about the family dynamics. Everyone spends the holidays in different ways. It is fun to see how others celebrate. Thank you so much for sharing. God bless you.
Blessings to you too!
I love Christmas novellas! They’re the perfect length for a busy time of year, and they help remind me of all the good things about Christmas. I’m really looking forward to reading Betsy St. Amants newest LI Christmas book
Yes! I forgot about her too.
I read Christmas books all year long. I’m drawn to books with a Christmas theme, or those set during the Christmas holidays. I scan my books and pick one that has a Christmas-y cover or Christmas in the title.
I enjoy Christmas books due to the “spirit of Christmas” feel throughout the whole book, and I enjoy reading about family Christmas traditions mentioned in a book.
Christmas can’t be Christmas without Christ Jesus!
Amen!
My favorite thing about Christmas stories are reading all the fun and unique holiday holiday traditions and activities in the stories. I enjoy reading about their celebrations.
Seeing others’ traditions is a fun thing to read.
I enjoy hearing about the different ways people celebrate Christmas!
Same!
I love how Christmas books just feel a little bit more fun because they can include fun traditional Christmas activities like tree lightings, caroling, gingerbread house decorating, etc.
Yeah those traditions make the books all the more interesting imo.
