Yes, you read that right. Christmas is coming. But with that, so is my next book, which is a Christmas story. It was really strange because I was writing that Christmas story, a holiday romance, in the middle of the hottest part of the summer. Even though it was hot instead of cold, it was still fun, and maybe it might have even cooled me down, thinking cool thoughts, even though were I live it sometimes doesn’t snow at all in the winter.
I hate to think of it, but I’ve come across a number of places that have started to count down the days until
Christmas. Even though my book is done, I’m not sure I’m really ready for that. Although, I do have to admit
that I have already bought a Christmas present. Of course I’m not saying any more, in case that person reads
this post, and I’m hoping she does.
With that thought, I really am not quite so prepared in advance for Christmas.
When do you start getting ready for Christmas? When do you start your shopping?
Enjoy!

I don’t exactly get ready for Christmas it just gets here too fast. If I see things that I know my friends like I get them at the time I see them., I know that I have my Christmas shopping under way and it’s one less thing to stress about. I’ve already gotten 2 presents this year for my friends with 3 more to get. These are close friends and we do exchange gifts. Sometimes I just get gift cards to favorite stores.

Truthfully, I used to start getting ready for Christmas in late September or in October for sure. But since I’ve retired and become a widow; I really don’t do much Christmas shopping. What little I do is usually done in December or possibly late November. I’m unable to do much as I no longer drive; so it is difficult. I do some on line.
