The Texan’s Surprise Return, Cover Reveal
Hola! Jolene Navarro here.
So far this has been a crazy fun summer. After spending time with friends who love books and wearing tiaras I headed to Canyon Texas. I started attending West Texas Writer’s Academy eight years ago, now I lead one of the classes. This is a week of writer’s summer camp. Hosted by Jodie Thomas and Timothy Lewis, it has intense classes lead by Margie Lawson, Lori Freeland, Matthew Sherley and me. It is a week of total writing submersion. This is the creative, hard-working ladies of my class. I’ll be there next year, if you want to join us.

Back home for a few days my children all came home to celebrate one of my daughter’s birthday. They borrowed my car to drive into San Antonio for some put-put golf. This is the post that came up on my feed. Yes, your mom might be a romance writer if you find four tiaras in her car.

Your mom might be a romance writer if you find a box of tiaras in her car.
Then the highlight of my month. My 30th wedding anniversary and to celebrate this my husband took me back to the city were we lived for the first three years of our marriage. It just so happened that Hugh Jackman threw us a party with a little song and dance.

Fred and I in Houston.
This is one of the most energized live shows or concerts I have ever attended.

We loved it so much that my husband got us and the kids tickets for his San Antonio show.
Yes. Hugh is throwing a party to celebrate my next book release. The Texan’s Surprise Return is arriving in the world October 15. Hugh Jackman is coming to San Antonio Oct 15… coincidence? I think not.

Since I mentioned The Texan’s Surprise Return…maybe I should share the wonderful email I just received? The cover of my next book. It’s book #2 in the Cowboys of Diamondback Ranch. Book #1 was Elijah’s story. The Texan’s Secret Daughter.

The Texan’s Secret Daughter Jolene Navarro
Book #2 is his cousin’s story. Xavier. Drum roll…………..

For three years, Xavier De La Rosa’s family thought he was dead. Now Xavier is back home in Texas for Christmas, and finds a wife he can’t remember and adorable triplets he never knew existed. Can Xavier reclaim his memories and the love he left behind…before he returns to the job that nearly killed him?
I’m so excited about this next book. Triplets, Christmas and a wounded hero trying to find his way back home.
And excited to announce that Belle De La Rosa has her story set to be out next April. The Texan’s Promise.
If you leave a comment I’ll send you a copy of The Texan’s Secret Daughter, or one of my other books available if you have read that one.
Have you seen or have plans to see Hugh Jackman… The Man. The Music. The Show?
I can’t wait to read your books. You are a new author to me. I loved hearing about the tiaras!
I don’t have plans to see Hugh Jackman but I have seen him live before. Years ago before he hit it big in Hollywood he was in a musical. It was Sunset Boulevard. The show would have to be my least favourite musical I have ever seen but Hugh Jackman was amazing.
Congrats on your 30th. and the new book release
I am getting ready to fly across the country and The Texan’s Secret Daughter is what I plan on reading on the plane. I would love to read another one of your books!
I don’t have plans to see Hugh Jackman. Congratulations on your 30th anniversary! You’re one year ahead of us. We’ll get there next April.
Your books sound good! I don’t know who Hugh Jackman is, so I don’t plan to see him. My favorite music is country, and even then it’s old country, as I remind myself of my Daddy when I listen to the radio now, saying “that’s not country”! So much of the “new” stuff reminds me of why I switched back to country in 1976!! I like the old styles so much better, even “classic” rock!
Jolene, that picture of your family with the tiaras is priceless! Love it. No, I have not see Hugh Jackman, but it is stupendous that he coincides his shows with your anniversary and book release! Go Hugh! Would love to read The Texan’s Secret Daughter! Thanks, Jolene, for a great post!
That photo of the tiara’s is absolutely precious!! I love it, and the books sound amazing…..Hugh Jackman, hmm…never seen him, but so sweet of him to celebrate with you, lol!!
I stand corrected. I thought I had this book, but I do not. The cover looked similar to one I already have. I would love to read it on my flight, though. So, if you’re offering it, I would love to receive it.
Jolene, I LOVE that photo of your kids in the tiaras! LOL!! That so reminds me of something my kids would do to tease me. :)
I love both your book covers! They’re fantastic.
Oh, and happy anniversary! It looks like you had a perfect getaway.
Your kids are totally owning those tiaras. Love it! I have a tiara, too. Because, well… tiara, like you said!
I would enjoy a copy of The Texan’s Secret Daughter. However, I am not sure if you meant the offer for one commenter chosen at random.
Hugh Jackman is a talented performer. I didn’t even know he had a show.
Best wishes on your writing endeavors.
I had no idea Hugh Jackman did shows.
Your covers look exciting. I never heard of Hugh Jackson but neat that you enjoyed it
I would absolutely love to read one of your books – you are a new to me author (name noted so I can check you out!) and the kids rock the tiaras . . . my five would have to fight over the only one I have – and I don’t think they would do it :(
Thank you, Lori.
Hi Lori. Thanks so much for stopping by.
Thank you for the congrats. Not all musicals were created equal. lol
LOL. We’ll what we can do. Thanks :) Enjoy your travels.
Hi Sherri. When it’s your 30th you get to celebrate 30 days! LOL Thanks for stopping by.
Hugh Jackman is a talented actor that made a huge name for himself as a superhero – Wolverine. But he does it all including musicals. He did Les Mis. My nephew sings the good old country. I love listening to him play.
Yea, they found them and posted that picture. I saw it on SM. LOL They are always making me laugh. Thank you for stopping by.
Wasn’t it sweet of him. LOL. My kids are too funny. Thank you for stopping by
Hi, Missy. It was a great month over all – Fred and Hugh being the highlight. My kid love teasing me. They’ve gotten good at it. lol
LOL I never thought I would own a tiara….let alone four. LOL The crazy things life gives us. Thank you for stopping by
Thank you Claire. I’ll be picking a commenter at random. This is his first one – after The Greatest Showman people were asking for more.
Hi Merrillee. He has a Tony for the Broadway play Boy from Oz. After the sucsses of the Greatest Showman – he put this show together. It sold out in Europe. Sold so many here they added more shows. Crazy right?
I did, Diana. Thank you
Hi Teresa. I didn’t even know they had found them until I saw the picture on Facebook. lol They love teasing me. Thank you for stopping by.
Hi Jolene, Congrats on your upcoming releases! The book covers are adorable. I’d love to see Hugh Jackman’s show in Australia (unfortunately it won’t be coming to Canberra where I live). Happy Anniversary. :)
Thank you. If you ever get a chance to see him live take it. He really is so charming and talented.
I didn’t even know Hugh Jackman does a love show, but I’d love to see it!
This is a dream come true for him. He did it for the first time this year. It was amazing. :)
No I wont be attending any shows of Hugh Jackman But I love the cover of your book! Loved your family picture Thank you for the chance to win !
Your welcome.
Great post! A couple things:
1) My hubby and I just celebrated our 30th a few weeks ago!
2) My sister-in-law and brother went to see Hugh Jackman’s show last week either in Chicago or Indianapolis (can’t remember which). She loved it. He was so-so. :)
3) Your annual writer’s conference looks like a ton of fun!
4) LOVE what your kids did with the tiara picture on social media to surprise. They must be very proud of you!!
Congratulations on your 30th Anniversary. My husband and I celebrated our 30th on January 6. 1989 was a great year to get married.
I would love to win a copy of one of your books. As for Hugh, lucky you! He’s a fantastic actor and singer.
Jolene, the cover is amazing !!!! Congratulations!
Yes 1989 was a great year!!
Thank you.
Good ol’ Hugh…he can be great that way. :) Joe and I just saw him in concert a couple of days ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Truly a spectacular show! And he was so sweet to all the kids in the audience. Love that he sang to his wife, who happened to be there, as well.
