Carol Moncado here – your friendly, neighborhood quarterback.
Why a quarterback today instead of a hostess? Well, sometimes in life, as in football, you have to “call an audible.” What’s that you may ask? Well… it’s when the football team decides on a specific play, but when they’re at the line of scrimmage (that’s when they’re all lined up with their tushies in the air, etc.), the quarterback (he’s the guy who throws the ball) changes his mind. Maybe he looks over at the defense and decides that he just doesn’t like the looks of things for the play they decided on.
So, he starts yelling.
He gets real “audible.”
And changes the plan.
So instead of running plan “blue”, they’ll run plan “pink.” (I doubt many football teams have a plan pink, but go with it ;).)
That’s what I’m doing today. We’d planned a “trivia day”, but as I started putting it together on Friday, it just didn’t feel right. So instead, we’re gonna talk books! As in recent and upcoming releases!! YAY! Gotta love books!
(Oh, I think there may be a football game tomorrow – in between commercials ;))
And if you want a chance at free books, continue using the Rafflecopter below. Let me know if you seem to be having trouble with it and I’ll see what I can do. It’s my first time using it, though, so it’s a learning experience…
So… since the weather outside is still frightful and my fire really is delightful, I’m gonna curl up here in our lodge, read a recent release and start planning my book buying and/or review offerings for the next few months. Grab a meal or munchies over at the InspyCafé. They’ve got a wide variety of foods – everything from super healthy to the best junk food. Whatever you want, they’ve got it.
(We don’t tell many people this, but there’s one of those meal-maker thingies from the Jetsons back there. That’s how there’s such a variety. Shhhhh…)
And it’s all free. And calorie free as well :D.
Without further ado… BOOKS!
These are in no particular order and only the ones our members sent in. They may have other recent releases or more upcoming, but this is a pretty good start ;). If there’s no cover pictured, it’s because there isn’t one yet (or I couldn’t find it anyway; since this is an audible, no time to have everyone send them in). When possible, the book covers link to the Amazon (or other) purchase page.

So fun to hear about the debut books coming out (like mine! woo hoo!) along with all the new releases. I’m sure all of us have to-be-read piles that take up a corner of our bedroom – this list alone will fill up another corner. Congrats to all on the new books – and thanks for writing inspirational fiction. It’s such a treat to get lost in a story that honors God as well as entertains.

Awesome list. I can’t wait to tuck under the covers (well, maybe not today. It’s supposed to be 60, gasp.), grab a cup of hot tea, and one of these books. Then this summer, grab a copy, my kids and the pool accessories and dream by the side of the shimmering water. :)
