There are some new faces around InspyRomance this April. To celebrate, I’m giving away a paperback copy of my debut novel to someone that says hello in the comments!
I’m Tara Grace Ericson and I am so excited to be a part of the InspyRomance team. I live in the Ozarks with my family: my husband, 2 young boys, and our incredibly lazy dog, Ruby. I love coffee (and tea!) reading, crocheting, decorating for fall and Christmas around the house, and browsing Homegoods or Target when I can get time out alone. I grew up in Nebraska – Go Huskers — and still love to go back there to visit family.
Two years ago, my family moved here from Indiana and I told my husband I didn’t think I was supposed to get a job. He was, understandably, quite surprised, since I was (to that point) a career-minded engineer in manufacturing! But instead of finding a job when we moved, God pushed me to finish the book I had half-written during the previous five years. It was a huge leap, way out of my comfort zone, but also refreshing to dive into my creative side.
Two years later, I’ve published 4 books, 2 novellas, and have four more books slated for the remainder of this year! Now, I stay home with our two boys (one and three years old) and squeeze in writing time when I can. I write small-town Christian romances, based in a fictional Indiana town called Minden. You can read all of my books in Kindle Unlimited.
My first book (Falling on Main Street) tells the story of a career-obsessed corporate recruiter who falls from grace and finds refuge in this small Indiana town. Sparks fly with her landlord’s son, who wants nothing more than for her to leave, and she ends up learning more than she counted on about community, friendship, love, and the genuine faith that surrounds her in her temporary home.
I’ll be dropping in here each month, and I’m on social media almost every day, so follow me on the links in my bio below. You can also get a free story by subscribing to my newsletter!
Okay, now it is your turn. Drop a note in the comments below to say hello and tell me something about you! Do we have anything in common? Have you read one of my books? Whatever you comment, you’ll be entered to win a signed paperback (US only).
*Comments made before midnight (eastern time) on Sunday April 19th will be eligible, winner will be announced in the Sunday Edition on April 26th.

Hello. I am a newbie to your books. I am a book lover and a librarian.
Trudy says
Hello! I’m already following you on FB, and I think I get your newsletter! I love to read, of course, make my own cards, and I used to crochet. I still like to do embroidery, though I don’t do it too much. I have a tablecloth I need to finish! Since I have to have it in my lap, and it’s big and hot, I don’t work on it much, since I’m at the age of hot flashes.
Lila Diller says
I have two boys, also.
Tara Grace Ericson says
Solidarity, my friend!
They can just melt your heart sometimes, right?
Tara Grace Ericson says
Hi Trudy! Good to hear from you!
An embroidered tablecloth sounds beautiful! I do the same thing with my crochet — I tend to only crochet afghans in the winter when I won’t feel trapped in the heat!
Tara Grace Ericson says
I’m so pleased to meet you.
I’m sure you are missing your library even more than I am missing mine (which is a lot!)
Tara Grace Ericson says
Thanks for commenting, Paula!

Hello. It is always so amazing when the Holy Spirit talks to us and we listen and obey. Sounds like this is what happened to you with work when you moved. I am now married 36 years. It was a rocky first beginning before marriage, but a mutual friend kept things going for us. We have a 35 year old son who has been married now for four years and loves it. We have a 33 year old daughter who is dating. My husband and I are active in our church, ok physically not right now. He works from home and I am retired. I love to quilt, sew, do count cross stitch and make my own greeting cards. My husband sews, plays the acoustic guitar and the electric guitar, loves his 3-D printer and he reenacts world war two with our son and daughter in law. Our son is a respected sewer in his own right, has been or many years. He mainly sews for reenacting. He and my husband were in civil war reenacting for many many years. Our daughter knows how to sew and quilt.

Welcome, Tara! My career was spent as an aerospace software engineer. I’ve always had something brewing with my creative side, too (including crocheting!). I’ve got Falling on Main Street in my burgeoning TBR pile. I’ll have to bump that up to the top. I’m working on my first novel since last December. It’s a wonderful learning process, isn’t it?
Looking forward to your joining the conversation here on IR.

Welcome! I’m from Missouri too! Just about one hour north of Springfield. We have lots of boat factories in town.
I am retired and read and review Christian Fiction for fun. I also sew and craft. Haven’t crocheted in a while though.
Would live to read your books. They look great.
Megan says
Hello! I love reading too, and I also enjoy crocheting, though I only know one simple stitch, but I find it relaxing to make blankets and such. Much easier than knitting in my opinion. Welcome, and looking forward to hearing more from you!

Hi Tara Grace, Welcome to Inspy. I am an aussie and can you tell me where exactly the Ozarks are? I have read about them before but not 100% sure where they are. I have 2 cats one who has discovered butterflies and grasshoppers the other treats the place like a hotel. I told him I am starting to charge him rent. He comes for food and the past few days then disappears where as Libby has been wanting to be on my lap or nearby. (She is not the best bed sharer. When I nap she tends to take over most of the bed)
Tara Grace Ericson says
Hi!
The Ozarks are a region in southern Missouri/Northern Arkansas in the center of the US. They are wooded, with lots of rocky cliffs and lakes. It’s quite beautiful!
Your cat sound like they have fun personalities!
Tara Grace Ericson says
So nice to meet you, Rose! Thank you for the kind words, and for commenting!
