I’m putting the final touches on my next novella, A Side of Hope, due to release March 31st and spent some time this past week contemplating my dedication for the book.
A Side of Hope is a different book for me, as it features something that normally is not my favorite to read: A Married Couple Romance.
But obviously I put a fun spin on it. NO ONE knows they are still married, and they have been separated for 18 years.
So imagine the heroine’s surprise when her husband crashes her 40th birthday party… not to mention the surprise of all her guests who thought her a divorced single lady.
I liked this storyline for my HOPE book because everywhere I look, there are marriages falling apart, people losing hope of in restored relationships. So I thought to show how one relationship could BE restored, even after 18 years of hurt and separation.
Not all marriages will be restored. I get that. But HEARTS can be restored. BITTERNESS can be shed. FORGIVENESS can be given. And there is always hope for that when we put our hope in JESUS.
I thought I’d share my dedication with you all here today–as I’m sure some of YOU are who the book is dedicated to.
Dedication
To all those who have, or will have, marriages that aren’t always easy.
(Which is pretty much all marriages everywhere!)
While circumstances may vary widely, the Bible tells us that three things remain.
And I’m here to tell you, hope is one of them, friends.
Grab hold of God’s hope and cling to it.
Let’s Chat! Do you have a relationship, be it marriage or otherwise, that needs to be healed? Have you lost HOPE that it is possible? OR!! Share a time when God has RESTORED a relationship! Let’s hear some PRAISE stories!
And I’d LOVE for you to check out A Side of Hope when it comes out at the end of the month! (You can sign up for my newsletter on my blog at www.kristaphillips.com to get a notification of when it becomes available, too!)

Trying to imagine a party where you thought you were a divorced lady & then your husband crashes it…I’d love to know the story behind that! Sounds like a great read.
I pray everyday that the Lord would show me new ways to show my husband I love him in words, actions or otherwise. I don’t want to be one of these couples who after so many years of marriage, find it to be stagnant. Now, I’m not perfect at it. There are days that I just don’t feel like it, days I struggle with being too tired, stressed, busy or any number of things. But God is always faithful & gently reminds me of the benefits of showing my love everyday. I have a stronger marriage, a good friend by my side, someone I can talk to about anything, someone to look forward to seeing everyday. We still have our struggles, always will, its life….but we’ve made the choice to put God in the center of our marriage. He’s always faithful :-)
I just wanted to give praise to God for making/keeping our marriage bonds strong & our love strong for Him and each other! What an awesome God we serve!!
