Have you heard of BookFunnel? BookFunnel is the delivery service that many authors use to deliver free romance reads to you! I also have an online shop and use BookFunnel to fulfill my paid eBook orders, too. (Many authors are opening up online shops, so keep an eye out!) You can take a peek at my shop here: JulieCarobini.com
I met the owner of BookFunnel at a large writing conference years ago, and he told me he worked hard to create a delivery system and app that his octogenarian mom could use. I thought that was so smart!
Since then, I’ve used BookFunnel to deliver thousands of ebooks to readers. Most have no trouble downloading onto their e-reader, phone, or computer, but every once in a while, someone does.
Why is That?
I think one reason is we have SO many options now for reading eBooks that it’s hard sometimes to decide which way to choose.
Or maybe it’s the initial learning curve that scares people off.
But honestly, if you master it once, you’ll have access to so many more ebooks! As I mentioned, many use BookFunnel to deliver giveaways or sell books directly to our readers (often with bonus discounts!), so I think you’ll find it worth learning about.
As for me, I often just read directly in BookFunnel’s free app. And I always tell my readers that if they have any trouble at all, they only need to click the Need Help? Button at the top of their delivery email and someone will reach out to walk them through the process.
I know I must sound like I’m affiliated with BookFunnel, but I’m not! I promise that I don’t own any stock in the company😆.
I just don’t want you don’t pass up a good read the next time one comes your way.
Here’s a fun little graphic I made that shows some options for you. You might have to enlarge it with your mouse or fingers if on your phone:
Want to practice?
Here’s a short story I wrote a couple of years ago that you can download to your own device or read in the BookFunnel app. This FREE ebook is a light-hearted second chance romance ❤️ set at—where else?—the beach.
It’s called One Little Catch and I may have offered it here before. If you’ve never read it, though, you can sign up to read it at the link below. You can unsubscribe at any time, or if you’re already on my list, your email address won’t be duplicated.
✅ HOT TIP: When you reach the download page, look for Read a Sample in Your Browser. Click that link and you’ll get a taste of what reading in the BookFunnel app looks like.
Okay, here’s that link:
Now go ahead and play around with the different options. This way, you’ll be ready to take advantage of more freebies and deals when they come your way.
Happy Reading … and let me know how you fare in the comments ↓

I use the Bookfunnel app. :-)
I also have books on Kindle and Playbooks! I actually keep a spreadsheet so I know what books I own, and which ‘library’ to find them in!
Helps me to not buy books more than once, too!

I have used BookFunnel before and never had any issues with it. However, I didn’t realize you could read directly in the app. I will have to try out.

Book funnel is great! It is so easy to download a book onto my Kindle. I get most of my ARCs through there.
Julie Carobini says
I’m so glad to hear that, Jenny!
Julie Carobini says
You’re so welcome!
Renate says
Hi Julie! I use Book funnel mainly for ARC books that Authors send me. I then download them into my Apple account. Sometimes I read them directly on the app. Mainly I use my Kindle account for purchasing books. Thanks for the tips and taking the time to explain the app. Best wishes. Stay cool and hydrated. Getting hot and muggy in SW Michigan. This retiree is ready for a nap. LOL

I love Bookfunnel! Though I use their website more than the app. It’s pretty convenient and I can’t believe how much my (digital) library has grown since I found them. :)

Hi, I am not tech savvy at all, so I only read books that are in print. Have a great day.

Yay, Andrea!

You’re welcome, Renate. By the way, did you receive your winning copy of Reunion in Saltwater Beach? I actually sent it via BookFunnel last month. Let me know if you have it, okay? Thanks and stay cool 😎 out there!
Julie Carobini says
Happy to hear it, Trudy! And it is fun to open up the app and see all those shiny book covers in there ☺️
RuthieH says
Thank you for the freebie!
I have used book funnel, when I’ve been lucky enough to win a giveaway here, and when I’ve got a free book forvsigning up to a newsletter etc – i can confirm, if I can use it anyone can! I often read using the kindle app, but for bookfunnel I find it easier to use playbooks, which works really well.
Julie Carobini says
That’s good to know, Ruthie! Quite a few of my books are on playbooks (Google Play), but I’ve never actually read them there :-). From my understanding, a reader could download an epub from BookFunnel and then upload it to the Playbooks app.
Debra Pruss says
Thank you so much. I enjoy Bookfunnel. God bless you.

Betty Armstrong says
I currently have 744 items in my Book Funnel library, so I guess it is safe to say that I am familiar with it! Most are e-books, though I have downloaded a few audiobooks, too. Usually, I have either gotten these items free through promotions or they are ARCs (Advanced Reader Copies) of books for me to read and review. However, I have a feeling that I will be using it more in the future to download e-books and audiobooks that I purchase directly from an author’s website.
I send the e-books to my Kindle account, so I’m only having to use one app to read. I listen to the audiobooks on Book Funnel, and it has been very easy to use.

I have used BookFunnel for free books if you sign up for an author’s newsletter but didn’t know I could buy books through them also. Thank you. I love reading through BookFunnel.
Doris Lankford says
I don’t read many ebooks. I do have a Kindle with some books on it but I rarely use it. I prefer physical books. I have tried using Book Funnel but can never get it to work.
