Okay–I wasn’t going to share any more puzzles with you guys, but this is a Bookstore!
It’s so beautiful and big! Books and cats–my favorite things.
Now, on to today’s post. :)
Rich in Love!
I know I’ve talked about this book before, but thought I’d revisit since my publisher has it on sale! This book was fun to write, and I hope fun to read.
How it started: My husband and I were on a cruise and he likes to to go the art auctions. Me? I stay in the room and read. But this particular time I decided to go with him. There were paintings by a girl named Pamela Dale. The story the auctioneer told was that she and her husband wondered what it would be like to travel the world drinking champagne. True! She made shoe art with the champagne labels and the maps of the regional area they were in drinking the champagne. Click here to see a picture.
I fell in love with the picture (didn’t purchase it) and the concept. What would it be like to have THAT much money? So, the journey began. Ann Thomas, who hated her boring name, was sent on a journey to spend money to inherit more money. (And she even receives a surprise regarding her name.)
Of course there had to be a guy. A guy who controlled the debit card. He was finishing his last job handling Ann’s father’s estate before moving to Peru to be a missionary.
Let the fun begin! These two had one shopping adventure after another. And I felt it true to life because I’m not a shopper, so it was written from the perspective of Ann who doesn’t like to shop, but has to. The origianl title was Champagne Shoes, but my editor changed it to Rich in Love.
How it’s going: Rich in Love is on sale for .99 cents!
And, in conjunction with this .99 cent promo the second book in the series, Rich in Hope, which is a Christmas book I talked about last month here on , Inspy Romance, is FREE through Friday night. It’s a Christmas love story!
I love how inspiration strikes. From that art auction on the boat, to a television commercial which inspired Rich in Hope. Inspiration is all around us in many different ways, and it’s funny how one thing will inspire something like a book. I’ve written whole books inspired by one line in a song. We all have that deep down well that needs to be filled. Whether you’re a reader or a writer, it’s there. I know as a reader, reading a blurb on the back of a book can draw me in, catch my attention, and propel me to read the book.
It’s that favorite time of the year for me to read right now, too. It’s winter here in the states, and I live in Georgia so we get so-so cold temps. But it’s fun to curl on the couch, coffee and blankets and cats and a book! (Hence the amazing puzzle at the top!)
So, grab a free book today through Friday! Or spend .99 and grab Rich in Love until the 15th of November. Regardless though, use the comment section to tell me about your favorite reading surroundings. I’ll randomly draw a winner to receive an e copy of Rich in Faith, the 3rd book in the series.
Happy reading!
Thanks for the book! I like to read on my couch by my big, bow window. The only thing missing in this room is a fireplace!
Lori—Yes–a fireplace would have been perfect!
Thanks Lindi! I enjoy reading in my cozy bedroom stretched out on my bed with the Hallmark channel playing in the back ground. A chilly chilly morning in SW Michigan. Finally have freezing temperatures. Been a very unusually fall, but yesterday saw the winter clouds over Lake Michigan. Best wishes and happy writing.
Renate–I hear Lake Michigan and I think–cold! But could it get any better than reading with the Hallmark channel on? I think not!
Enjoy!
I love your puzzle! My favorite place to read is in an old, but super comfortable, recliner rocker snuggled up with a cozy blanket. Bonus points if I have my pajamas on. :)
Jessica–Sounds delightful. And the pajamas for the win. :)
I love that puzzle. I enjoy working puzzles. Now that it’s cold in WV I snuggle in my chair with a blanket to read. Blessings
Lucy—I do snuggle with a blanket, too. Also a cat or two!
My favorite place to read is in my rocker in my living room with the A/C on!
Trudy—In the summer I like reading on my screened porch. I need a lounger there, though! Or a rocker. And to be truthful I’m such a fan of the A/C. I’m constantly layering my clothing because I get so hot so often.
Reality and Dream prime reading locations are different! Reality is in bed at the end of the day, a couple of extra pillows behind my back, snuggled under my blankie with PJs on. I can hear the cat playing soccer with who-knows-what downstairs. Also she is antagonizing the dog.
Dream: the cat is purring and content to curl up in my lap, along with the snuggly quilt. There’s a fire in the fireplace and a mug of hot chocolate at my elbow while the snow filters down outside the window.
Oh, wait. I have another Reality, this one entirely cat-free. In a hammock beside a gurgling creek with a tall glass of something cold nearby. Add the mosquito-free dream, and it’s a really good spot for summer reads!
Val—-cats and dogs—first, yes!! So, you can ditch the cat but only if you’re by that gurgling creek!!
Hi, I love to read on my couch all snuggled up to my pup and wrapped up in a blanket. Have a Great day and stay safe. (not entering this ebook giveaway, but thank you)
Alicia—you had me at snuggling with the pup!!!
I have a favorite comfy chair I like to sit in, with a blanket, when I read.
Megan–It’s all about being comfortable. :)
That looks like a cool puzzle.I really enjoy doing puzzles I have a big collection of puzzles .My favorite spot to read is on my bed with my fuzzy blanket or on my fuzzy beanbag.
Kendra—all the fuzzies!!!
I love your puzzle! Thank you for the story!!!
Natalya–Thank you!!!
I enjoy reading at the kitchen table, wrapped up in a blanket drinking iced tea or water. Thank you for sharing. God bless you.
Debra—I don’t have comfortable chairs to read at the table, but I do like having a drink nearby.
Hi, Lindi! In heaven, I hope to have one of those two-storey libraries with the wrought iron spiral staircase and the sliding ladders. It has a small fireplace with a tall wing back chair and a matching ottoman. There is a small table beside the chair for a cup of coffee or milk and a plate of warm, chewy cookies (probably chocolate chip or snickerdoodle, dangerous sweet tooth, here). There is also a tall lamp behind the chair, perfectly placed for over-the-shoulder lighting. That’s the fiction spot. In another corner of the room is a large study desk for spreading out reference books and bibles, science books and notebooks. In an adjacent spot, will be a tall hutch with computer desk for whatever passes for high-tech in heaven. :-) No point in consuming all that information without creating something also.
In the mean time, here below, I sit at my computer and read on my Kindle app, watch on-demand movies and TV and check email for new IR comments. The wing back chairs in the living room are currently occupied by a bunch of stuff from when we had to empty out the self storage unit. Ah, well. We live in hope. :-) Thanks for the chance to read some more!
Lincoln—thanks for painting an amazing picture!! It sounds, heavenly! All pun intended.
I love sitting at the fireplace & reading a book. I also do some photo books & diamond art
Oohhh…Love fireplaces~I like doing photo books as well. Diamond art sounds interesting–and pretty!
Thanks for the book! I like to play video games, watch movies, & do woodburning
Sylvain–you’re welcome!! Sounds like great activities.
My favorite reading place is simply my bed, being in my room in my bed with the door closed.
The truth is that I can start reading anywhere, I will disconnect from the environment!
Lilly–I’m the same way. I can shut everything out to read. :)
I like to build a nest of pillows on my bed to make a comfy reading spot!
Jeanna–that sounds like pillow heaven!!
The puzzle looks so much fun, I’d love to be in that book store! I really like the cover of the book.
Julie–thank you!
I mostly read sitting on my sofa. Lately it’s been with a warm throw blanket around my legs. Then I read for a couple of hours in bed before I turn out the light.
Trixi–I am a queen of those blankets all winter long. :)
My favorite reading spot is anywhere comfy, so it can be a comfy chair, couch, or in bed :)
Comfy is good–for sure!
