Do you like chocolate? I love it! Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always craved the delicious sweetness of chocolate. I love chocolate candy, cookies and cake! Chocolate pie is also fabulous!
As I got older, I noticed that chocolate is often paired with romance! When I attend romance writers’ conferences, there’s always lots of chocolate candy shared among authors. Since Valentine’s Day is coming up, I’m sure a lot of you will be indulging in chocolate candy from heart-shaped boxes. This Valentine’s Day, not only can we be thankful for romantic love, but, we also need to be thankful for the love of our Savior!
So, this Valentines’ Day, when as you enjoy your chocolate with your significant other, come and enjoy Shades of Chocolate. It’s a perfect treat to enjoy this Valentines’ Day!
Shades of Chocolate is the first book I had published several years ago. It was originally published exclusively by Doubleday’s Crossings Book Club (under a different title). When I got the rights back to my story, I rewrote it and re-released it. I wrote Shades of Chocolate because I wanted to show how people struggle to accept Jesus after enduring pain in their lives. I hope you enjoy reading this romantic suspense as much as I enjoyed writing it! I loved creating these characters and when I was writing about the chocolate desserts, my mouth watered! There’s also a delicious chocolate cream pie recipe featured at the end of my story.
So, do you like chocolate? If you do, what’s your favorite chocolate treat?
Toni enjoys making chocolate treats in her bakery. Haunted by her abusive past, she struggles with her faith in God. Her world changes when a handsome stranger arrives, reminiscing about his childhood. Jason Matthews misses his days of working in his family’s pastry shop. Estranged from his father, he longs to rediscover the joy and comfort from baking. When Toni’s life is threatened, Jason realizes how deeply he cares for her. Can Toni and Jason overcome their pasts and learn to trust one another?

Hi Cecelia! I enjoy reading stories with bakery settings, since I worked in a bakery as a teen. Our small community is blessed to have four bakeries. While I am not fond of chocolate baked goods, I do appreciate European chocolates. My favorites are Ferrero Rocher, a chocolate and hazelnut confectionery or Lindor Milk Chocolate Truffles. For American chocolates, I like Almond Joy or York Peppermint Paddies. Best wishes and Happy Writing.

I love chocolate, especially dark chocolate! My favorite chocolate dessert is Death By Chocolate, which is made of brownies, mousse, crushed Heath bars, nuts, and Cool Whip. A close second is French Silk pie. I have read several of your books, and they are yummy!

Yes, I Love chocolate! Dark is my favorite. I usually eat Dove because I know it’s gluten free, and I don’t like looking up a brand and researching all the time.

Sipping my homemade coffee mocha right now, and my favorite treat (after homemade brownies – yum!!) are Lily’s chocolate bars, sweetened with stevia. So. Good!!!

Ah, to limit it to one chocolate choice – unlikely for me. But, I do love that there’s a local bakery/cafe near me – when I need a fancy treat and don’t feel like doing my own baking ‘The Chocolaterian’!

Your book sounds great! I do love chocolate, though I have to admit I’m more partial to fruit flavors. Now, combine chocolate with a fruit (like strawberries or raspberries) and I’m there!

Renate, I love chocolate candy, too! Oh, those Lindor Chocolate Truffles are delicious! Have you ever had the ones with the peanut butter filling? Those are so good! The Swiss make such great chocolate! I’ve had Ferrero Rocher hazelnut chocolates lots of times. I like those too! Have a blessed evening!

The Russell Stover Candy Outlet is about 2 hours away from where I live.
If it were any closer, I would be as big as the Goodyear Blimp.
Thanks for entering me in your giveaway.
