Have you heard the big InspyRomance news? We have a podcast now!
*Cue the applause!*
I bet you have questions about what this means. Well, here’s a brief rundown…
Who: Each episode will feature our admins—Valerie, Elizabeth, and Narelle—and a guest (most likely an InspyRomance author).
What: StoryChats will be chatting about all things related to romance, specifically contemporary Christian romance.
When: New episodes will be released every Friday.
Where: On your favorite podcasting app or on YouTube. Find out more HERE.
Why: The podcast world could use more discussions about Christian romance books. And it’s fun to finally see the faces and hear the voices of the InspyRomance admins and authors!
Speaking of the admins, how well do you know them? And how well do they know each other? Let’s find out with a round of “Who’s Most Likely To”.
For the following five questions, answer with the name of the admin who you think is most likely to do that thing.
- Who is most likely to run away to join the circus?
- Who is most likely to leave many tabs open on their browser?
- Who is most likely to cry because of a sad movie?
- Who is most likely to remain calm during a storm?
- Who is most likely to wear mismatched shoes by accident?
Jaycee Weaver took a shot at these questions:
- Narelle – because I can’t see Beth or Valerie doing it.
- Valerie – because Valerie has a ton going on all the time.
- Elizabeth – because Beth has a soft heart.
- Valerie – because she seems the practical, yet caring sort who’d go straight into Mom mode during a storm.
- Valerie – again, so much going on and better things to think about!
Here are my wild guesses:
- Elizabeth, because she seems like she’d be good at wrangling the animals and entertaining people.
- Valerie, because she has a lot of tasks and people to keep tabs on (pun intended, lol).
- Maybe Narelle? Because she seems like a sensitive soul.
- Narelle, because she seems very even-keeled.
- Valerie, because she has so much going on.
Here are Narelle’s answers:
- That’s a tough one… I can’t see Val or Beth doing this, and if I was going to run away, a circus wouldn’t be my first choice lol. Maybe it’s me?
- I’m not sure who multi-tasks the most? I can be lazy and leave tabs open (I’m not sure if that counts?) I’ll guess Beth because I know she’s busy writing plus home schooling etc.
- I’m a sook and cry easily, but maybe Beth is more sooky than me? Hard call.
- Val lives in the country and gets my vote for surviving storms.
- I have never actually done this (mismatching buttons on a shirt is my specialty, lol). Maybe Val?
Check out what Elizabeth said:
- Me. It’s a lifelong dream. (I’d probably hate it when I got there, but maybe there would be less laundry.)
- Valerie
- Valerie, but I could also see Narelle doing this.
- Narelle
- Me. Fun fact, when I worked as a software engineer, I did this multiple times bc I left the house so early trying to avoid traffic (didn’t work) and navy and black are hard to tell apart in the dark. We’re talking enough times that it’s not even embarrassing anymore.
And here’s how Valerie answered:
- The circus… not it. We’ll go with Beth, I guess, since she admitted to once having the dream. Beth, what would your specialty be? Lion tamer, maybe?
- Many tabs open (23 atm). Well, doesn’t that depend on how many browsers (2), too? And other programs like Word (5 docs) and Excel (2 spreadsheets) and Scrivener (5) and a couple more for good measure. Ahem. Okay, I’ll own this one.
- Crying at a sad movie. Well firstly, I rarely watch a movie, and no, I’m not a crier. I’ll let Narelle have this one.
- Calm in the storm: I’ll take this one. When it’s fight, flight, or freeze, I’m a freezer. I save the falling apart for later!
- Mismatched shoes – if Beth wants this one, she can have it! But… does it count that I actually BOUGHT mismatched running shoes once, and when I noticed a few days later – hey, they were both all white and the same brand, but not the same style – and went back to the store, they couldn’t find the other halves? Because they’d already sold THEM as a pair, and presumably the other woman never noticed? They did take them back and give me a different PAIR though.
LOL! I’m still chuckling at some of the answers! I loved finding out more about these ladies—how about you?
As you can imagine, our fearless trio of admins are just as interesting and entertaining in real life. And now you can see them in action on our podcast! I highly recommend hopping on over to YouTube right now and subscribing to StoryChats, so you don’t miss an episode! I’ll be venturing out of my introverted bubble for an episode in January about alpha males!
Do you listen to podcasts? What topic(s) would you love to see discussed on StoryChats? Comment and let me know!

Fun post. I know Narelle liked a series as a child by Enid Blyton about a boy joining the circus (ok I don’t know but I know she liked Enid Blyton).
True story. I went to Melbourne for a conference, got ripped of by a taxi who took me down a one way street in peak how to take 40 mins to get to my hotel when it should have taken 10 mins so was rushing to get there in time. I was about a block from where it was and I walked got almost there when I looked down and had mixmatched sandals on. One was a good one one was the more comfortable one I wore on the bus to get to the city. I quickly went back to change. I have done it with sneakers before too.
Never really listened to pod casts. I should but just haven’t got around to it yet.

I enjoyed this thank you.
I don’t listen to podcasts.

Hi Liwen! Thanks for the fun blog with speculations and input from the great administrative team. Thanks to Elizabeth, Valerie and Narelle for administrating this blog, which is a highlight to my day. Chuckled at number 1. In the 1980s we had a pastor friend, whose teenage daughter joined the circus. Not a good experience. Many prayers. Liked Valeries reply about tabs open. Since grandkids are doing their classwork at Oma’s Virtual Academy, one thing we keep tabs on. PUN intended. Slows down the computer when unused programs are all open at once. I relate with Elizabeth on blue and black shoes. I have a large foot (size 11) so when I find a comfortable shoe, I buy multiple in different colors. While working as a teacher, I often dressed in the dark. On more than one occasion I wore the new set of one blue and one black. Nobody really noticed. Personally I am not one to listen to video clips or podcasts. I have been checking in with Valerie on Mondays. During this Pandemic or because I turned 70, my concentration is limited. Or maybe as an avid reader, while reading I can skip parts I am not interested in and move at my pace, which is more difficult in a podcast. Wishing all the best this last week of the year.

Oh, this was fun!! I even guessed a couple right! Or, at least, what they’d fess up to! Lol!!! I’m sure all of the Inspy authors are fun to hang out with!! I’m going to have to check out the podcasts!

That was fun to see the variety of answers. I got a few correct. :D
Years ago, I caught myself trying to put one of my 3 young sons winter boots on his hand (he was sitting on the kitchen table) when we were in a hurry to get out the door. Somewhat similar to different shoes – I was distracted thinking about the business awaiting me elsewhere. ;D Those were Crazy days! Ha!

Who is most likely to run away to join the circus?
Who is most likely to leave many tabs open on their browser?
Who is most likely to cry because of a sad movie?
Who is most likely to remain calm during a storm?
Who is most likely to wear mismatched shoes by accident?
If it was ‘Who is most likely to forget the questions – that’s me, so I am giving myself a reminder.
1. Narelle
2. Valerie (she is Canadian like me, and we Canadians really like to multi-task)
3. Elizabeth
4. Again, Valerie – we get some BIG storms
5. Narelle – if you like circuses, you really don’t have time to check your shoes – who would notice at a circus?
I didn’t want to look at anyone else’s answers before I tried it, and back to read.
Narelle Atkins says
Hi Jenny, yes, I remember the Enid Blyton books. 😊

I think podcasts are great, they’re just not my thing.
Sandra says
I am with you, Denise. Maybe one day when my eyes are not able to read the words on the page, I will go to Podcasts and Audible, but right now, I am reading.
Liwen Y. Ho says
Hi Denise! No worries! I haven’t dived (dove? lol) into them that much either, but I do find they’re fun to listen to when I do chores. Thanks for reading and commenting!
Debra J Pruss says
I know I am old and not computer savy. I do not know anything about a podcast. What is it? I would have to say no. You all do so well with the blogs. I am not sure that you need to do anything different.
Liwen Y. Ho says
Hi Debra! Thanks so much for following our blog! Podcasts are definitely something new in the world of technology. I think they’ve gained popularity recently because people like to listen to them while they are driving, walking, doing chores, etc. They’re kind of like mini talk shows and InspyRomance’s podcast specifically talks about Christian romance books. I probably should’ve defined it more in my post. Hope this helps explain it better. Thanks for reading and commenting!
Liwen Y. Ho says
Thank you to you, Beth and Valerie for being good sports and playing along! :) Can’t wait to listen to the alpha males podcast!

I’m not one for podcasts, actually. Listening during chores would mean that I would have to do chores, LOL! Perhaps I will visit at some point. I’m glad you have taken on the venture for those who do enjoy them.
