There are so many people in the world with a lot of talent. There are writers, there are designers, there are photographers and there are wedding dress designers.
My September 1st release is titled The Little Black Wedding Dress.
I scoured Pinterest for wedding dresses that would fit the title. And I found the perfect one. Of course it was white, but the design was perfect.
I mean a little black wedding dress had to be short–just like a little black dress.
So, I have a friend who designs and makes wedding dresses. She made this dress in black. She found a model that resembled my heroine. She found a photographer. She found a church. (She’s a great friend, right?) I also have a friend who designs amazing flower arrangements. She made me 4 for this photo shoot.
So, off we went.
90+ degrees on an Atlanta evening. These gals were amazing! Here are a few photos I took. (These are in no way professional! These are from my phone.)

Kayla is editing the images and I will send the “One” I want to my cover designer and she will work her creativeness into a beautiful cover. This was so much fun! And of course everyone will get a credit in the book. I love giving a shout out to the talent in my area.
Oh, did you know legend has it if you were married in a black wedding dress that meant you were pining away for a lost love. Can romance get any better than that?

That’s a lot of work to get a cover shot. You have AWESOME friends.

I’ve never heard of a black wedding dress & it’s interesting what it means….not a good thing when you are marrying your spouse that day….lol! Hopefully nobody is pining away for their lost love on their wedding day :-)
And I do love the design of that dress, it is very pretty! Professional or not, you took some great shots!
I am anything, but traditional and I love the idea of a little black wedding dress. And it isn’t about the dress, right? I dismiss tradition, because tradition comes from man and God only cares what’s on the inside. Lindi (love your name, btw,) I wish you great success with your new book when it comes out.
