Happy New Year, all! I hope your year is going well so far! Mine is (though, admittedly, I’m writing this on January 1st – when I had lunch with old friends, then another friend came over and hung out – we smoked meat (just got a smoker!) and watched Sully).
One of the things to look forward to any time of year is BOOKS!!! YAY!!!!
Of course, I’m planning to write and release my own books this year – I’m looking forward to those (not just getting them into the hands of readers, but finding out what happens myself as I write them ;)), but also to a bunch of others coming!
Jessica Keller’s Apple Orchard Bride is a January release! It’s already in stores but I haven’t read it yet. This one is super special because Jessica is a very dear friend and dedicated this book to me. I can’t wait to read it!
I’m super excited about Melissa Tagg’s summer release!!! No date yet, but All This Time is the final installment in the Walker Family Series!!! Raegan and Bear!! Pardon me while I jump up and down and squeal ;). You can sign up for her newsletter on her website to be kept up with the latest news!
Becky Wade is starting a new series called the Bradford Sisters. Book 1, True to You, releases in May!
Ruth Logan Herne’s Double S Ranch book 3 is also coming in May – Peace in the Valley.
Susan May Warren’s new series has a new addition this summer, too – A Matter of Trust in the Montana Rescue series!
Valerie Comer, Elizabeth Maddrey, Lee Tobin McClain, Annalisa Daughety (all InspyRomance authors) plus Mary Jane Hathaway and Danica Favorite have started their Arcadia Valley series with the Romance Grows in Arcadia Valley collection! It’s a set of interconnected stories – and each one is the beginning of a three book set by each author! So that’s EIGHTEEN books coming in the not too distant future! What a fantastic idea! Elizabeth posted about it here.
One of the… problems when reading so many indie authors like I do is that their release schedule isn’t quite so “out there” as early. Those who have books coming out that I’m looking forward to but don’t necessarily have titles or links: Valerie Comer, Ginger Solomon, Kristen Ethridge, Autumn Macarthur, Lindi Peterson, and SO MANY OTHERS.
These, of course, are just contemporary authors (and not even nearly all of them)! There’s a bunch of historical authors I’m looking forward to new books from (Tamara Leigh is working on one I can’t wait for!) and so many others!!!!
What about you? What books are you looking forward to? Let me know in the comments to be entered for a chance to win your choice of one of my ebooks :).

Yay, Becky Wade is writing another series:)
I am also looking forward to more from Dani Pettrey in the Chesapeake Valor series. Kristi Ann Hunter’s final Hawthorne House book is coming later this year, VB Tenery’s “Against All Odds”…. I’m also hoping Tracy Higley has some more books coming out… and so many more!!
Looking forward to lots of great books:)

Gosh, so many great books and so little time to read. Every book you mentioned is on my list, Carol. I might need to take a month off from the day job and just read. Ah…that would be a dream come true. :)
Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, Carol. Enjoyed reading Hand Me Down Princess. So many delightful books and inspiring authors, but never enough time to read. Personally I am looking forward to reading the Arcadia Valley series. I have never visited Idaho, but Valerie Comer’s pictures of the diverse topography of Twin Falls are breath taking. Always fun to not only meet new characters and explore new settings, but interact with new authors. Best wishes and happy writing.

Happy New Year! I am just looking forward to this new year. So many possibilities! And any new book from this group is a great book! I’m looking forward to reading old friends and finding new ones.

Thanks for the summary and update. I’ve been looking for some of these books too and many others. JoAnn Durgin was just talking about Pursuit in her last post–that’s a must read for all Lewis Legacy Series fans like myself. And if I recall correctly, Valerie Comer also wrote a post enticing us to read Romance Grows in Arcadia Valley. I can’t wait for those… just to name a few.
Valerie Comer says
Thanks for the shout-out for Romance Grows in Arcadia Valley! This set has been so much fun to work on and will hopefully continue to be. Of the books I look forward to reading the most in 2017, I have to say, at the moment, it’s the rest of the books in this series!
Gail Hollingsworth says
The third and final of Rachelle Dekker’s dystopian series is coming out. I snagged a copy from Net Galley!
JoAnn Durgin says
Thank you for the mention, Priscila. Praying for you and baby Sam! :) Blessings to you in this New Year.
Autumn Macarthur says
I gotta get my writing done before I can have time off to read! Back to work! ;)

I’m looking forward to all those as well as more time to read after we move and i retire from full time daycare to just my grand children on a school year schedule. I’m looking forward to the Arcadia valley series. It is an ambitious concept.

I am looking forward to finding new authors and reading their books! That’s what I did on 2016!
Julianne Archer says
I’m looking forward to reading the releases that you have planned for this year. I am so appreciative that you share the new releases of other authors in this blog :) I can get in a rut and stick to the same great authors. I hope that your 2017 exceeds your expectations!
Carol Moncado says
OooO! Can’t wait for Dani’s! But I tried to keep this to CCR only and not RS… :p Plus I saw on her Facebook today that her cover model was our favorite Survivor last season (even if he didn’t win :(). That’s fun!
I also got Laura Frantz’s new one this week and am itching to read it!
Carol Moncado says
No joke! That would be awesome! Except my day job is writing and I need to do more of that ;).
Happy New Year!
Carol Moncado says
So many books…so little time… for writing and reading!!!! I’m looking forward to that collection too! And the whole premise of interrelated series is fascinating!
Carol Moncado says
I know there are some stellar books coming from IR authors that I didn’t mention! Just not enough room! I know a couple of debut authors coming out with books that I can’t wait to read too! But the ones I’m thinking of are indies and don’t have them up yet :p.
Carol Moncado says
Val may have and I missed linking it :/. Or it may have been in one of her Sunday Editions rather than her weekday posts and I didn’t check them. :/
So. Many. Books!!! :D My Kindle is already bloated ;).
Carol Moncado says
That’s so awesome! I can’t wait to see how it goes!
Carol Moncado says
OooO! I don’t read a lot of dystopian, but I’ve heard that series is good! Love NetGalley!
Carol Moncado says
Haha! I’m with you! /eyes open file and plans to go back to it after replying to comments/
Carol Moncado says
It’s very ambitious! I’m glad you’ll get more time to read! And I hope retirement is fantastic!
Carol Moncado says
That’s always fun, isn’t it?! I am too!
Carol Moncado says
Thanks, Julianne!!! I love finding new authors (and helping readers connect with new-to-them authors!) as much as y’all do!!! :D Yay books!
Wemble says
Hmm, will definitely look for the cover (model;) Have yet to read Laura Frantz’s new one- it sounds good though. You are right, there are sooo many books across the genres, your list would have been long indeed:)

I’m not sure how I missed reading this post yesterday, but it was a full day and I wasn’t home for much of it… Oh well! I’m looking forward to new books by my favorite authors, many of whom are part of this blog! However, I’ve still got so many still to read on my Kindle, I’m not going to be sitting around twiddling my thumbs :-)
