So my title was getting long and doesn’t express everything I wanted to say. For instance, you may not realize that CCR stands for Christian contemporary romance and Indie means independently published. I also didn’t get to say that my list only contains books from the first quarter. I figured I’d be here all day if I listed every single book I want to read in 2022, not to mention some people haven’t yet advertised the book they’re going to release.
I’d also love to hear any books I may have missed that belongs in my category (Indie, CCR, ’22 release). Let me know in the comments. But first, the books!
January Releases
Postcards by Elizabeth Maddrey
I read everything Elizabeth writes and Postcards is no exception. Especially because of the cover. The first person pov it’ll offer, and I might have peeked at the blurb (rarely happens) and now want to read it even more so.
Love on Ice by Carolyn Miller
I have book one currently sitting on my TBR pile to read and I plan on reading the entire series. I have a good feeling this series is going to be awesome.
Waiting for You Right Now by K. Leah
I’ve never read her books but this cover alone has me signing up. Since it’s book four, I’ll have to quickly sneak in the first three.
The CEO’s Companion by Rose Fresquez
Rose has great books that are great to take you away while you watch the journey of two people fall in love. I look forward to hearing the tale of Eric and Joy.
February Releases
What Matters Most by Andrea Boyd
Andrea is one of my critique partners so I’m actually reading this one now. It’s so good and I can’t wait for everyone else to read it.
Say It’s for Good by Teresa Tysinger
Teresa is another person I have the privilege of critiquing for. I actually didn’t get to finish this books so I’m eagerly awaiting the chance to read again and finish this time. :)
Princess in Hiding by Carol Moncado
What’s a list without Carol?! I love her royal books since they’re often paired with some of my favorite tropes. She’s a great author to just read, relax, and know you’ll be entertained.
His Quiet Serenade by Jan Thompson
Isn’t this cover adorable? There’s something about it that relaxes me and draws me in at the same time. I can’t wait to dive into the story.
Checked Impressions by Carolyn Miller
I love the titles and covers for Carolyn’s series. It makes the anticipation all the better. :)
March Releases
Hearts and Goals by Carolyn Miller
I’m sure you’re not surprised she made my list again. Like I said, I plan on reading the entire series. :)
Giveaway
To round out my post, I’d like to offer a giveaway to one lucky commentator. The prize, one of these books. I’ll send you the $ to preorder it. Comment by 1/10 and I’ll choose a random winner on 1/11.

Hi Toni! This avid reader reads a variety of genre, not just CCR so I have some historical romances I am looking forward too. One author CCR Indie author with a release in the 1st Quarter missing from the list is Valerie Comer’s Kiss Me Like You Mean It, Cowboy (Cavanagh Cowboys Romance 4).
Snowy cold day in SW Michigan. Most schools are having a snow day. We are under a winter advisory. After a mild fall and December, winter has arrived. Best wishes and enjoy the weekend.
