Happy Saturday, Friends!
Today I thought I’d share the books I’m looking forward to reading this summer. You may remember my post from last month where I lamented some deadline drama. Well, I’m happy to announce I’ve turned in my book and look forward to some much needed reading. I tried to put these in order of release just so it’s easier to plan. :)
late May/ June Releases
The Billionaire’s Backup by Elizabeth Maddrey
I read everything Elizabeth writes. In fact, I’ve already read this, but still I consider it part of my summer reading list. It’s book 4 in the Billionaire Next Door series and it was just as great as I was hoping it to be. Now for book 5!!
A Green and Vibrant Hope by Valerie Comer
There’s just something about this cover that gives me all the feels, so in my Kindle it goes. Also, I feel like reading Valerie Comer gives you a dose of those great outdoors, which is a perfect summertime vibe in my opinion.
A Suitable Wife by Unoma Nwankwor
This time it’s the title that caught my attention. It holds intrigue and makes me wonder what’s going on between the hero and heroine. That and I love, Unoma’s ability to transport me to countries in Africa.
Dedicated to the One I Love by Beth K. Vogt
June keeps on giving. This time, it’s a cute sweet romance from Beth Vogt. I feel like haven’t read her in forever so that needs to be rectified.
Love Somebody Like You by Carolyn Miller
There’s something about this cover that screams summer and peace. The horse is also a nice touch and lets me know I’ll get a ranch story (so I assume. I refuse to read the back cover.).
Love Like No Other by Tabitha Bouldin
This cover has all the tropical vibes and summer laziness that makes me read book after book.
Wedding at the Sea by Melissa Tagg
Melissa is another author who I’ve read everything they’ve written. I have high hopes for the third book in the Muir Harbor series. Set in Maine, I’m sure to get summer vibes no matter the season the book actually takes place in.
August Releases
Summer in the Spotlight by Liz Johnson
This cover just has it all. The mood in the colors, twinkly lights, and title that lets you know it’s summertime.
Hero Debut by Angela R Strong
I’ve actually read this already because I had the opportunity to endorse the novel. But I couldn’t pass up a chance to recommend it to y’all. This one has humor and swoony romane.
Giveaway
Somehow I managed to skip July. I’m not sure what happened. If you know of some great Christian contemporary romances releasing then, let me know in the comments. If you comment by 6/12/23, I’ll pick a random commentator on 6/13/23 to win $10 Amazon gift card to aid their summer TBR pile. ;)
I am looking forward to Where Our Hearts Lie: (Trinity Lakes Romance Book 6) by Jenny Glazebrook. in July then in August Sara Beth Williams book releases (she was on inspy Monday or Tuesday).
I am looking forward to a cosy mystery by Susan Page Davis this month and also a couple of historicals by Penny Zeller
Happy Saturday Toni! My mind is spinning. Hosting my oldest grandson’s High School Graduation Open House from 2 – 5 pm today. It has been 3 years since I had my 3 sons together at the same time. Praying my brother, who avoids family gatherings will show up. Interesting afternoon. Praying the weather cooperates. Rain is in the forecast for Sunday and Monday. SW Michigan hasn’t had rain in 6 weeks and the farmers are desperate. Blueberries need the spring rains.
I enjoyed Valerie Comer’s and Elizabeth Maddrey’s new releases. TWO JULY CCR releases are: Cowboy Blind Date (Easter in Gilead 4) by Narelle Atkins and Fire and Ice (Northwest Ice Division 1) by Carolyn Miller. I enjoyed the Easter in Gilead series and Narelle Atkin’s book is on preorder.
Enjoy your weekend. Best wishes.
I agree about Elizabeth’s book!! LOVED it!!! Jo Grafford will release Mr. Yeah, Right…As if in July. Honestly not sure of others in July. There’ll be some Love Inspired books releasing then, but I’m not sure which ones! I just know they release new ones every month! Honestly, I don’t pay a whole lot of attention to what’s coming. I have so many books in my TBR stack that it could be a year or more before I get to the “new release” UNLESS it’s an ARC, and then I do get those done!! lol!!
Glad you were able to make your deadline!
I’m also looking forward to Narelle Adkins Easter in Gilead book. Autumn McArthur is releasing ‘His Tender Mercy’ on 30th June, which isn’t quite July but almost!
Looking forward to: July 14 Jo Grafford “Mr. Yeah, Right as if….”
Jessie Gussman has There I Find Rest coming out in July. It’s her first book in the Strawberry Romance series.
There I Find Rest(Strawberry Sands Beach Romance book 1) by Jessie Gussman on July 14th
Two to Tango (A Maple Falls Romance Book 4) by Kathleen Fuller. Of course, I’m not sure if you’ve read the others in the series yet. :)
Good morning, thank you for sharing about these new release, they all sound like great reads! Have a Great weekend.
I don’t have any on my list that release in July.
Positively, Penelope by Pepper Basham releases August 1st!
The only ARC I’ve read that releases in July is Davis Bunn’s The Rowan, but it’s not Christian contemporary romance at all :-) I do have Narelle Atkins Easter in Gilead on pre-order. I got to read the Wedding at Sea (Melissa Tagg) ARC and it is GREAT!
I’m looking forward to the love inspired books that come out I have them on hold at our library so will read them when they come out.
Thanks for recommending Sara Beth!
How could I have forgotten them for July!! Thanks so much. I definitely want to read those.
Two To Tango by Kathleen Fuller (#4 in a seriesi
I’ll look up Jo’s. Thank you!
Thanks for the recommendation!
I’m really excited for The Happy Life of Isafora Bentley by Courtney Walsh! And some of the ones you posted, and some are new to me to add to my list!
Isadora* oops, my finger got the wrong key on my little screen. :)
Thanks! I’ll look her up.
Thanks! I’ll check it out.
Thanks!
I haven’t. But thanks for the recommendation! I’ll look them up.
You too!
Oh yes!
Melissa is a great writer!
That’s smart!
I’m excited about Through Every Danger releasing July 18, it’s the 2nd book in the Summer Heat romantic suspense series. There’s one releasing in June, one in July, & one in August. There’s some really good authors in the collection, the July release includes Lisa Phillips contribution & I love her books.
Thanks for the rec!
I loved Isadora Bentley so much. Definitely add it to your list!
Sounds great!
Thanks for sharing these, Toni! I don’t have any contemporary books on my July list, but I have a couple of historical fiction ones I’m looking forward to: The All-American by Susie Finkbeiner and Ladies of the Lake by Cathy Gohlke. I haven’t had much reading time lately, as I have had 2 of my granddaughters here for a few days, and now my daughter is here with her other 2 kids. They will be staying with us off and on during the summer. I love having them here, so I might have to sacrifice that reading time.
These are all great! I’m super excited for Melissa’s book and Liz’s book too.
can’t think of any
I’m adding these to list. I don’t know of any others.
I just read two ARC’s that are releasing the end of June. Rachel Hauck The Best Summer of Our Lives and Cindy Sproles This is Where it Ends. They are both fabulous reads. Thank you so much for sharing. God bless you.
looking forward to release of Pixels and Paint by Kristi Ann Hunter. Release date is July 4th.
How Sweet it is by Andrea Christenson and Susan May Warren is releasing July 18th. Also The Charming Prince and the Chef by Cami Checketts releases in July.
I feel like there are some books releasing in July but I can’t think of any right now.
