Y’all, the summer has been good to my TBR pile. There are so many great Christian Contemporary Romances coming on the docket, that I just had to share my excitement. So below is my list (in no particular order).
Driftwood Dreams by T.I. Lowe
This is the second book in the Carolina Coast series. Small-town, check. Romance, check. Beach, check. I can’t wait to be taken away.
Molly by Sarah Monzon
Sarah’s my critique partner so I’ve technically already read Molly. However, it’s so good, I’ll be reading it again once it releases.
“How hard can taking care of a four-year-old and her over-stressed, over-worked father be?”
When I Lost My Way by Jennifer Rodewald.
I’ve read everything Jennifer has ever written and I’m not going to stop now.
“Their whirlwind romance takes the hard road toward happily-ever-after as disaster tests their love and their faith in God’s goodness.”
Meet the Moms by Laurie Larsen
This series looks like it’s going to be a great one!
“A light-hearted, faith-filled, fun series that will make you smile and warm your heart.
Moms go the distance!”
Start With Me by Kara Isaac
I absolutely adore this cover and had to add this to my want-to-read list. It doesn’t come out until the end of June but I’ll be eagerly counting down the days (24!).
“It’s been six years… She’s never forgotten him… He doesn’t remember her.”
Lavished with Lavender by Valerie Comer
Here’s another author I can’t wait to read. This releases the same day as Kara’s so I’ll have 2 books to read. :)
“A live-in nurse who can’t cook. A chef unable to do the nursing. And a convalescing grandmother determined to get them together.”
How Sweet It Is by Robin Lee Hatcher
I think this cover is adorable and the series has made for an enjoyable read. I’m definitely looking forward to this July release.
“Lonely hearts find love and purpose in the final installment of Robin Lee Hatcher’s Legacy of Faith series.”
Ready to Trust by Tina Radcliffe
If you haven’t figured out by now, covers are a big draw for me. I totally picked this because of the cover. That and I know Tina is a great writer. :)
“Proving he’s a changed man could be his biggest challenge yet.”
To Love A Prince by Rachel Hauck
As soon as I saw this cover and learned Rachel Hauck had a new royal book, I almost swooned with delight. I cannot wait to dive into this read.
“An enchanting new royal romance from NYT bestselling author Rachel Hauck.”
Giveaway
I’ll be giving away a $5 Amazon gift card to one lucky person who answers the question: What’s on your summer TBR pile? Answer by 6/8/20 3pm EDT and I will pick a random winner.
I have Jane Harper and Penny Louise on my list – both great authors.
Thanks! I don’t think I’ve read them before.
Right now I have your book, The Trouble With Love: Faith & Fortune 1 in my TBR!
Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy! :)
Set The Stars Alight by Amanda Dykes, A Dazzle of Diamonds by aLiz Johnson, The Crushing Depths by Elizabeth Goddard, A Life Once Dreamed by Rachel Fordham are on my TBR pile plus many more.
Great choices!
The books on my tbr list are To Love a Prince by Rachel Hauck, Ready to Trust by Tina Radcliffe, The Trouble With Love by you, Toni Shiloh, and The Heirloom Garden by Viola Shipman. There will probably be many more. Enjoyed your article.
Oh I need to look up The Heirloom Garden. Thanks for adding TTWL to your list. :)
My stack is almost to the ceiling but we have some of the same books in our stacks 😊
Yeah mine is actually much longer than this. I just picked ones that were contemporary romance. :)
I just finished Molly – so sweet and funny and all the feels!
I’m starting with TI Lowe’s first book in the beach series and then I’ll be reading the second one. I just love her writing!!!
I’ve already read your May release 💕 so I can’t list that one here!!😉
I adore Molly!! And you’re right, it has all the feels. Thanks for reading TTWL too. :)
Starfish Pier by Irene Hannon; Mail Order Mallory by Jo Grafford; Before Summer’s End–ARC; Second Chance at Love by Alexa Verde; Stealing the Bad Boy–ARC, The Dating Charade by Melissa Ferguson.
Oh you have a lot of good books. I think I need to add some of those to my list as well.
Seriously enticing TBR pile there! Lol! Is it sad that I don’t make one? I pick up based on my mood. 😬 Should probably change that because a lot of great releases end up at the bottom of my kindle lost in the virtual someday stack….
I read based on mood as well, but I have a Kindle stack and print stack to choose from, that way I still read the ones I want.
Thanks, Toni! I hope you enjoy Lavished with Lavender :)
I’ve got your Freedom Lake stories in my TBR. I really try to keep a grip on my TBR after a few years of downloading any old freebie that looked remotely interesting! I finally got it weeded out, and now I am much more purposeful with my purchases. Every book on my Kindle is one I actually want to read – the Christmas ones I’m saving for fall, but otherwise, it’s a matter of scrolling through to see which one I “feel like” next. I think the longest a book generally sits now is six months.
Yeah my mood dictates which book I choose from my pile but the cover is how books land in my pile. :)
Interesting! I may have bought a few books by their covers (your Deck the Halls cover pulled me in!) and I KNOW I have passed on books because of their covers. I have an old-school 2nd Gen Kindle that doesn’t show the covers, so once it’s on there, I don’t think about covers again. Then all I see is title and author name.
Oh, I never knew the older ones don’t show it.
Just like the old movies before they invented color! LOL.
I’m looking forward to a lot of these too, especially Kara Isaac’s new one. Im also looking forward to Jody Hedlunds next Bride Ship book too.
I definitely want to read Hedlund’s as well.
How fun. I added some of those books to my Amazon wishlist (I keep an updated one).
I will be happy when I have time to read again (I’ve tried a couple of times during lockdown, but I have little or no time to myself–just work and family).
I hope you get some time to read soon!
Thanks to your post my tbr list is now even longer, my goal is finish Julie Arduini’s books and then it will be whatever takes my fancy on the day, thanks :)
I love when I finish an author’s backlist. :)
Your book is coming on Tuesday in the REAL paperback form! So far I have only read your books in eform, so I am pretty excited! I plan to read Molly asap and can’t wait! I want to read every single one on your list actually. I will add His Small-Town Girl by Lacy Williams, that one looks good too!
I got my paperback copy and it may be my favorite, lol. Hope you enjoy!
Mine looks very similar to yours! I am also planning to read Line by Line by Jennifer Delamere, Raising Honor by Jill Lynn, A Gilded Lady by Elizabeth Camden, and a bunch of Jennifer Beckstrand Amish books!
Awesome!
What a great list! I have some of these and quite a few others on my ever-growing pile. So many fantastic books! I’ll admit I judge on covers, too. Some of them are so enticing that they migrate to the top of the pile. I also read by mood, and if I read a very suspenseful book, I have to follow up with a lighthearted one.
Thanks for the list! I’ve added a couple to my already toppling pile.
Yes! I have to change genres sometimes if one read is particularly intense.
Crushing Depths by Dani Pettrey
Great choice!
Okay, I’d list mine, but it’s not a pile . . . it’s a PLANET! If I started listing them it would shut down the system and no one could post anything!
I do want to say I love all the ones you’ve listed. I really can’t wait for Kara Isaac’s book and Rachel Hauck’s newest book. I’m right now reading two books – Christy Barritt’s fun ARC book – Bomb Pop Threat, and Amanda Dykes stunning book – Set the Stars Alight. This week will be fun!
Fun!
I’m with Marylin, above. Mine may not be a planet, but it’s at least a small moon! Among others, I’m working my way through some box sets:
Elizabeth Maddrey – Baxter Family Bakery
Kimberly Rose Johnson – Sun River Dreams
Rose Verde – Finding Love, Medical Romances
Alexa Verde – Her (Not So) Perfect Love Match
Julie Carobini – The Otter Bay Collection
Lee Tobin McClain – Romance From the Heart
Valerie Comer – Garden Grown Romance AND Saddle Springs Romance 1-3
Janet W. Ferguson – Southern Hearts Series
Liz Isaacson – Her Last Chance Series
I also have a BUNCH of single titles that I have been working into the rotation as well. Yeah…no. That would be too much.
Legit semper!
Oh binge reading collections is a great idea!
A Dazzle of Diamonds by Liz Johnson is #1 on my summer TBR.
Oh I saw that one too. Book 3, right?
Don’t Keep Silent by Elizabeth Goddard
The Crushing Depths by Dani Pettrey
The Book of Two Ways by Jodi Picoult
The Truth about Fame
Sea Glass Castle by T. I Lowe
Oh I forgot about Sea Glass!
Next up is This Wandering Heart by Janine Rosche, and then On a Coastal Breeze by Suzanne Woods Fisher.
Oh, I read Janine’s. Hope you enjoy!
I’m very excited to read Valerie Comer’s new book and think the “Meet the Moms” series looks super fun!
It does! Laurie’s is out today.
