Here is the first Nativity set that my husband and I bought after we got married over thirty-five years ago. We still have it. Since then, I have collected numerous Nativity sets of all kinds, which I display every year. I’m going to share some of them with you.
Here is the one that my husband bought for me one year when it was on sale the day after Christmas. It is silhouetted against the afternoon sun in the window above our front door.
I have two that fit the Southwest where we live. Here is one of them.
As the years went by, people started giving me Nativity sets. I have a couple of white nativity sets. They share the server in the dining room, one on each side of the bowl and pitcher.
I also have two colored porcelain sets.
I bought this one below while we were vacationing in Alaska. It lights up and plays “Silent Night.” The smaller one on the left side came from Finland, and the small one on the right is carved from olive wood.
I also have a Precious Moments Nativity.
I could post a dozen more photos of snow globe nativity sets, ornament nativity sets and several other full-sized ones. I finally had to ask people to stop giving me sets because I ran out of places to display them. Every year when I get them out, I remember where I got them or the people who gave them to me. I especially like how they remind me of the reason for celebrating Christmas. The birth of Jesus, our Savior.
Do you have a special Nativity set?
My latest book, SECOND CHANCE REUNION, released this week. You can find it here.
