Right now I’m visiting family, and as a romance writer, romantic topics often come up in conversation. Although some of them aren’t so romantic.
One topic of conversation was romantic meetings, with people saying – Gail you could use that in one of your books.
I heard all sorts of meetings, to work related, meeting online, meeting through mutual friends. Most of the best relationships started with the least romantic meetings. Go figure.
When I met my husband, it was at a pre-wedding party – I had gone with the sister of the bride, he had gone with the brother of the groom, and the rest is history.
What’s your story? How did you meet your significant other – and was it something that could one day make it into a novel?

My late husband and I met through a dating service in Norfolk, VA., in 1973. We were engaged not long after we met and married just a little over 3 months later. We were married 34 and 1/2 years when he passed away with Congestive Heart Failure in 2008. He was the love of my life and I can’t thank God enough for the privilege of being married to him for all those years. Of course, we had our problems like every couple does; but I wouldn’t have traded places with anyone.
