When you think of getting all cozy for a reading binge, what do you picture? Here it is for me:
• Snow falling softly outside the windows
• A fire in the fireplace
• Flannel jammies and fuzzy socks
• A cozy quilt
• A mug of something hot (mocha? tea? hot chocolate?)
• A few leftover Christmas cookies
• A purring kitty on my lap
• Quiet, but upbeat music
• Several romance novels!!!
Now the bustle of Christmas is over — unless you have a late family gathering! Ours was Monday, since that is just how schedules aligned this year. Some of you may have taken down decorations already, but I can hear others of you gasp that your tree would come down this early over.your.dead.body! Mine will be down by NY Eve, since hubby’s motto is: out with the old, and in with the new! Real trees don’t last so long, anyway, and our house is very small. It will feel spacious to get the room back!
But today… today is a good day for a new book or maybe ten. There’s a group promotion running through Friday full of free and 99¢ romance novels, both Christian and clean. Many of the sale-priced titles will show full price to those outside the US/UK. As a fellow outlander from Canada, I sympathize with you! But there are a lot of free books, too, and most of the titles are available via Kindle Unlimited, if that’s an option for you.
I’m giving away The Cowboy’s Christmas Reunion, a story that ticks all my boxes for a Christmas romance. It includes single parents, second chances, swoony cowboys, stranded together, sleigh rides, power outages, one loving family and one that’s dysfunctional. Most of all, it points to the real reason for the season, the celebration of our Savior’s birth.
My 99¢ title is Marry Me for Real, Cowboy in which a desperate kiss results in a fake marriage proposal from a hunky rodeo cowboy. This isn’t a Christmas title per se, but there are Christmas scenes in the story.
Many of the books in this promo are from Inspy Romance authors (and many are not!). Here’s just a sampling of what you’ll find.
Free books:
• The Cowboy’s Christmas Reunion by Valerie Comer
• Falling for the Foe by Milla Holt
• A Heart Restored by Elizabeth Maddrey
• Love, Laughter, and Luminarias by Jaycee Weaver
• Smile for Me by Jan Thompson
• Finding Love in Park City, Utah, by Angela Ruth Strong
• and more!
99¢ books:
• Marry Me for Real, Cowboy by Valerie Comer
• A Heart Reclaimed by Elizabeth Maddrey
• Reach for Me by Jan Thompson
• What Could Be by Jaycee Weaver
• The Billionaire’s Secret by Meghann Whistler
• Pushing Past the Pain by Milla Holt
• Holding onto Someday by K Leah
• and more!

Happy Holidays and reading Valerie Comer, IR authors and readers! As a retiree, I enjoy reading stretched out on my bed in comfy clothes under a fuzzy blanket. Due to age, we no longer have any 4 legged friends to snuggle with, but on occasion provide Doggie Care for our son’s Sheltie Ivy. December and the first two weeks of January is busy with holiday activities, school winter break and birthdays (two grandchildren and our youngest son). We only have a small table top artificial tree which stays up until about January 11 (the last birthday). Happy Reading. Best wishes.

I loaded up my Kindle yesterday with some of these, as some are already in my TBR stack!! Not sure when I’ll get to my TBR stack! I just finished proofing one book this morning, and have two more to do!! God is soooo good!!
Valerie Comer says
Mmm, I love reading in bed, too. It’s where I do most of my reading, since I read for about an hour before lights-out every night!
Valerie Comer says
Oh, that ever-growing TBR, right?!?!?

woops forgot to comment. Thanks for the link. I did pick up a couple free books. the others were not on special in Australia and had a few expenses come up but will keep the books in mind. (I did have a few already).
My tree goes down after new year normally. Or when the cats decide its time. So far Libby has only been on the little table its tied to once.

Most of the sale prices didn’t work in Canada, either, so I get it! Glad you found a few new stories to enjoy, though.
