Is anyone else looking at the calendar and wondering where the summer is going? I went to Wal-Mart yesterday and the rows of school supplies were already out. Picnic and barbecue items were on clearance.
I’m not going to lie…a part of me wanted to throw a little fit right there in front of the three-ring binders.
This summer has flown by in a blur of activity. We’ve fished, gone water skiing, spent a long weekend at an amusement park…and it’s been a blast. But now that summer is (sadly) winding down, I’m hopeful that the remainder might bring with it a little more relaxation and a little less busy.
And guess what that means? It means I’m finally going to find some time to indulge in my ever-growing to be read pile! I thought I’d share a few of those here, and maybe pick up some more recommendations!
1. The Book Thief
2. Divergent
3. All Fall Down
4. Secrets Over Sweet Tea
5. A Deadly Grind (A Vintage Kitchen Mystery)
6. Once Upon a Prince
7. The Fault in Our Stars
8. The Mailbox
9. Gone Girl
10. The Husband’s Secret
So there you have it! A few of the titles in my to be read pile. Any others I should add to my list? What’s the best book you’ve read this summer?

The Chance by Karen Kingsbury. It may actually be an older book of hers, but I loved it.

After you read the Book Thief, check out the movie. I loved it! Here’s the link to my blog article review of it:
