Happy 4th of July!
I hope you have plans for a wonderful celebration filled with family and friends.
Personally, I’ll be working on a paper I need to turn in for school. If it wasn’t for that paper, though, I would have other plans for tomorrow.
Can you guess what I would rather do?
Read.
Read and read and read some more. I mean, I’d spend time with my family, too. Because I love them and like spending time with them. Then I’d go back to reading. 😀
If you have tomorrow off and are looking for a good book to enjoy, I recommend Elizabeth Maddrey’s Operation: Fireworks. It’s a 4th of July romance with all the feels.
Here are some other suggestions, though, just in case you’ve already read that one. These aren’t 4th of July books, but they’re still worth your time. 😊
❤️❤️❤️
The Billionaire’s Backup also by Elizabeth Maddrey
Elizabeth Maddrey never misses! I have really enjoyed this series of clean and faith-filled romances. I can’t wait for the next book to be ready!” (Moira, Goodreads Reviewer)
A Green and Vibrant Hope by Valerie Comer
It says a lot about a book, when as soon as you finish it, you place a pre-order for the next! I loved the characters, and it was a delight to watch them develop in faith and in love.” (Gretan, Amazon Reviewer)
A Heart to Redeem by Judith McNees
I was so moved by this precious story!! From the first chapter I was hooked, and couldn’t wait to read the next!” (Heather, Goodreads Reviewer)
Now or Never by Emily Conrad
This is the crossover novella I’ve always wanted! Watching [Tim’s] and Gabby’s story play out brought many smiles to my face, and was such a refreshing joy to read.” (Jessica, Goodreads Reviewer)
Olive by Heather Gray (I had to include one of mine. It’s a rule. 😉)
If you like contemporary Christian fiction, fun back-and-forth banter, intelligent discussions and a non-friendship-turned friendship-turned-sweeeeet romance, this is the book for you. I absolutely devoured it.” (Joleen, Goodreads Reviewer)
The One She Can’t Forget by Tara Grace Ericson
Absolutely loved Jake and Monica’s story and how it all began! You’ll find yourself rooting for each character and challenged in your own life as you journey with them.” (Anastasia, Amazon Reviewer)
Operation Find a Guy by Amy R. Anguish
I completely fell in love with this book from the first page. Skye and Benjamin’s initial encounter, and the ensuing snarky banter, were quick to land them within the realm of favorite characters. (Tabitha, Amazon Reviewer)
❤️❤️❤️
I might have included more books than you can possibly read in a single Tuesday holiday. Then again, if you’re dedicated… 😂
At a minimum, you should have a pretty good list for your summer reading.
If you’ve already read some of these books, let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear what you think. And if you haven’t read any of them yet, tell me which contemporary Christian romance book you’re reading right now. I’m always looking for good book suggestions!
I wish you all a blessed Independence Day! Have a safe holiday, and I hope you carve out some time for reading! 📚
Happy 4th to all in America. (I always thinks its great they have a holiday for the day my cat took its independence from my!) Meggs use to disappear for days then weeks then months and the last time we saw him was the eve of July 4th around 20 years ago.
I wish we had a holiday tomorrow in Australia but thats ok I have way to much to do cos I have to move in about 4 weeks and tomorrow is going to be one of the few dry days this week.
I love Amy Anguish’s Operation: Find a Guy. Amy has a way of combining fun and serious life issues in her romances. I just finished reading Love’s True Calling by Lori Dejong. It’s a wonderful, inspiring love story between a man and a woman, between them and God, and a ministry dedicated to teens on the fringe.
Thanks so much for including Now or Never in your round up! I need to do some deep cleaning tomorrow, but I’ll probably also find time to read more of my current read, Sea Glass Castle by TI Lowe.
Happy 4th of July Heather Gray, IR authors and readers! I have read Valerie Comer and Elizabeth Perry Maddrey. Here are my reviews on 2 of the books listed.
The Billionaires Backup by Elizabeth Maddrey is my favorite in the series. A romance with relatable characters (Jenna and Noah), twist and turn plot, ending with a believable conclusion and some travel adventures – New York City, Washington DC and Chicago, including Frank Lloyd Wright architecture and the John Hancock Building with its famous 95th floor restaurant. An inspiring summer romance that will have you reading from cover to cover. (Recommend the book for an armchair traveler. I lived in Chicago in the 1980s and the descriptions of the city are spot on. Also am familiar with Frank Lloyd Wright’s homes in the Chicago area, Illinois and Wisconsin. This reader has also been to NYC and Washington DC.)
Book 2 A Green and Vibrant Hope in Valerie Comer new Farm Fresh Market series takes place in beautiful one stop light town Galena Landing, Idaho (from the Farm Fresh series). With relatable characters: Mitchell Ackerman a widower with two rambunctious boys and Arleigh O’Neill with fledgling flower-growing business which takes a lethal blow when the river overflows its banks, demolishing her rented greenhouse and drowning her fields. Will Mitchell and Arleigh find some common ground and hope? A page turning reading with a believable resolution. Growing in love and faith is a choice.
Presently I am reading historical romance boxed set Heavenly Inspired Bridal Collection by Kim Grist. Happy Holidays to all. Feel blessed that SW Michigan received 2 inches of rain yesterday. Our farmers needed it. The blueberries, cherries and veggies are thankful. Worry about by son in Chicago. Chicago received 5 inches of rain yesterday and downtown is flooded. Experienced something similar in the summer of 1987 while living in Chicago. Plus the continued concern about air quality due to the Canadian wildfires. Been unusual start to summer. Best wishes.
Right now I am reading Valerie Bodden’s Hope Spring series. I am in book #3, Not Until You. The first 3 books have been very, very good. I would recommend. After book 3, I will take a break from that series to read the next Pink Pistol Sisterhood book, Aiming for His Heart by Julie Benson.
Happy 4th of July, America. Hope everyone has a good week. Happy reading. ❤
I’m proofreading a book today, will be finishing it sometime today. I’m also reading a paperback, but it’s set in the 1920’s. I’ll be starting a boxed set after I finish my proofreading, though! I like this list you did, and will need to put them on my wishlist!
Happy 4th July to those celebrating in the USA!
I have a job interview tomorrow, I would appreciate your prayers, I am very nervous but looking forward to seeing how it goes and what God has planned for this next stage in my life, just trusting in him whatever happens.
I have read Elizabeth Maddrey’s ‘The Billionaires Backup’ from your list, really enjoying this series. I haven’t had much time for reading this last couple of weeks but looking forward to reading Evangeline Kelly’s new book soon.
I loved two ARC’s that I read. They both came out the end of June. They were, The Best Summer of our Lives by Rachel Hauck and This is Where it Ends by Cindy Sproles. Thank you for sharing. God bless you.
