My family has officially moved to the Texas Hill Country. Granted, two-thirds of our belongings are still waiting in our previous house for the movers to load it up and bring it next weekend, but at least we’re here! We did bring two trailers worth of stuff ourselves, and we have nearly all of that unpacked.
Meanwhile, we’ve been busy exploring our new town. We stopped by the local library to see what it was like. I have to say that, out of all the towns I’ve lived in, this may be my favorite library. Now only was the children’s section colorful and well-designed, but they had so many wonderful amenities for the adults as well. My favorite? A screened-in reading porch on the second floor. I stepped into it and was instantly surrounded by the fresh rain-filled air and the sound of birds singing. What a perfect place to just relax and read a little! I’m looking forward to an opportunity to do just that in the not-so-distant future.
While we didn’t get here until the tail end of the bluebonnet season, I was still able capture one image of these beautiful flowers just outside the library. I never tire of seeing these!
Today, we’re supposed to have our new fridge delivered. I’m looking forward to no longer keeping all of our food and drinks in a cooler. Although it certainly could have been worse. Other than that, I’m looking forward to relaxing today.
I hope you all have a wonderful, restful Sunday!

Hi Melanie, enjoy settling in, setting up, and exploring your new home. Your local library sounds, and, from the photo, looks amazing! An outdoor reading area- genius!
We had magic weather today- warm sunshine. I am trying to soak in as much as possible as we head deeper into autumn and the weather gets colder each day.
Blessings:)

Since my hubby was in the army many years, we had several moves. Our last two moves have been in the middle of winter. When we moved from Ft Carson, Colorado, we had a snowstorm follow us east back to Indiana. Sounds like you are in a place you can settle nicely. When I worked at our local library, some of the ladies knew all the things going on in town. So it looks like you may have found resources for all kinds of things already. Enjoy your family all being together. I always thought the traveling was the hardest part and the best is yet to come.
