I failed miserably last week. I FORGOT to prepare the Sunday Edition post. Thanks to Elizabeth for stepping in and writing something super quick. I was on my way to church before I remembered.
I hope you are experiencing wonderful, autumn weather where you live. It’s still in the mid-80s at my house, but cooler temps are around the corner — or so says the meteorologist. Aside: Have you ever wondered why they’re called METEOROLOGISTS? They don’t study meteors. :D
This has been a pretty slow week for me. I had an endocrinologist appointment early in the week. (It rained BUCKETS on my way home. I did not like driving in it.) I have been under his care since my surgery last year, because the pituitary gland is part of the endocrine system. But I am no longer. He released me, saying that all of my numbers are fine, and unless something more came of my tumor, I didn’t need to see him again. I was praying for such an outcome.
In addition, I made a trip to the grocery store, our homeschool coop, my area’s monthly writers’ meeting, and a dinner my husband wanted to attend (these last two were yesterday). It turned out to be a busy week (for me). I LOVE staying home.
A neighbor and I have been walking Monday thru Thursday (I’m gone early on Fridays and don’t have time to walk). I’ve upped the distance to almost two miles. I hope, one day, to make it four miles in about the same amount of time — I’m pretty slow at the moment.
Well, that’s me, in a small nutshell. LOL So exciting, right?
I pray your week has been blessed, and your week to come is even more so.
Blessings,

Hi Ginger, your week does sound busy! Walking/running is what I miss most since going back to work full time. My Seniors have 4 more school days left, then a week of study- then final exams! We had a BEAUTIFUL Spring day here today, so nice to have warmer weather and seeing our garden come to fruit again:)
Blessings:) (and happy writing…)
Hi Ginger! In Michigan we have had an unusually warm October. Temperatures have been in the high sixties. Stayed in all day yesterday as our area received almost 6 inches of rain, setting a new record. Still raining this morning. Didn’t have a thunderstorm all summer, but had several yesterday. With the unusual high temps the trees are still all green. Very few have changed colors. Life is busy with the beginning of school and lots of fall activities. Hoping things dry out this week, so I can take the granddaughters to the local pumpkin patch. Best wishes and happy writing.
Yay on the good report from the doctor! Sometimes we take good health for granted, until something goes wrong. We’ve had one of those busy weeks, also, and I have been especially thankful that today is Sunday and I might even get to nap. It was only 46 degrees when we woke up. I’m thankful for cooler weather, but hope we don’t need the furnace for awhile.
Yes, so glad for the good doctor report! We’ve been enjoying cooler, more fall-like weather too!
I love staying home also. LOL not always possible. plus we do need interaction with family and friends. hey there, don’t beat yourself up, forgive yourself. you had a lot on your plate this last week and you made it. woohoo for your doctors announcement. we are having fall weather with lots of rain right now.
So glad for your good doctor report! We are promised cooler temps next week, but our GA weather has been so sticky, hot, humid! I am ready for a change! lol
So glad to see the freebie on here for Janet Ferguson’s Book #4 in that series. I am collecting them all to read!
Exciting for your Seniors.
Our garden has passed it’s prime, despite the warm temperatures. It’s just a mess of weeds and strings that need to be removed and ground under. Happy planting… :)
The leaves haven’t changed here either, but that’s not unusual. We go from green to dead to bare in less than a week, I think. ;)
Have a great week, and here’s to sunny weather.
Agreed on the love of cooler weather, but hate to turn on the heat. I pray you got your nap in. I did. I think I fell asleep before my husband, which is rare.
Thanks, Margaret.
Thanks, Lori. I’m not, and Elizabeth has forgiven me (said tongue-in-cheek) because she’s great that way. We’ve never met personally (I don’t think), but I’m pretty sure we’d make great friends that would get on each other’s nerves regularly and still love each other. LOL
Praying for drier weather for you, assuming you don’t need the extra rain.
Thanks, Jackie. I hear you on the need for a weather change. I walked out of the house the other day and immediately started sweating. By the time, my neighbor and I were done, it looked like I had taken a shower with my clothes on. :(
Happy SONday Ginger (and all of Inspy Romance)! So awesome about your doctors appointment and good news you don’t have to go back. God is so good isn’t He?? Happy dancing with you!! Congrats to on the 2 mile walks, it’s always better with a friend for sure! Sounds like you did have a busy week, being a homebody myself, I can understand wanting to be HOME :-)
I picked up my copy of Blown Together and happily discovered I have the rest of the series on my Kindle, that was a nice surprise. Congrats to Gobers2013 for winning Deb’s books, lots of good reading there!!
Looking forward to another great week here….now that I can finally comment! Don’t know if you caught that, but I had to download Google Chrome just to be able to have this blog load. Both Mozilla Firefox (my default browser) and IE would not let me in for some reason. I practically missed last week :-( I am glad to be back though, I’ve missed you guys!!
Blessings and have a great rest of your weekend everyone!
IR withdrawal, Trixi? I’m sorry for your troubles. Something must have updated. Enjoy Janet’s books. I downloaded it as well, though I’m woefully behind on my TBR pile, so it may be a while before I can get to it.
Nice to have you back.
Hi, Ginger! I admire you for walking. That should be on my to-do list!
It’s taken me a long time to do so. Having a friend to keep me accountable helps a lot.
