Welcome to the final Sunday in October! Sorry for the sparse Sunday Edition last week. I was on vacation and filling out the skeleton post I’d started didn’t happen. My apologies! I wasn’t anywhere near a computer/ internet/ wifi for a few days there.
We were gone ten days total, and I got a fair bit of reading done. Zero writing, but that wasn’t the goal, anyway. Not when I get hubby to myself away from home! Since getting back, the dreary, rainy fall weather has not lured me outside. You’d think it would be easy to jump back into writing in that case, but you’d be wrong. I’m working on it, though!
Someone asked whether all the photos in October’s Sunday Editions have been mine. Most of them, yes. The flowers on this week’s post and last week’s were creative commons images I found online. If I remember correctly, all the rest are from my own collection.

Glad you had a holiday and a chance to read! We have Melbourne Cup long weekend so I am enjoying the slower pace for a couple days, time with family and books of course!! Blessings:)
Renate says
Hi Valerie! Thanks for hosting the October Sunday Edition. As readers, we enjoyed your inspiring fall photos. Glad you and hubby had a chance for some rest and relaxation. In the Midwest we also have been experience lots of rain. Living near the shores of Lake Michigan this makes for extremely gloomy days. Happy Reformation Sunday!

Valerie,
I love all your photos.
It sounds like you had just the type of vacation you were meant to have.
Glad it was restful.
Margaret Nelson says
We just got back from vacation too. After 7 days of walking all over Williamsburg, VA, Washington, DC, and Dover, DE, I haven’t wanted to go anywhere or do anything :-)
Valerie Comer says
Enjoy! I’ve never been to a horse race except at a small town stampede!

Our rainiest day on the trip was the first one, driving through Idaho. We were getting the blast of the big storm that hit the west coast that day. The car wipers couldn’t keep up at times! Most of the other days we had some rain and some sun, so it really wasn’t bad… and we expect rain along the coast anyway. Here at home it seems we’ve had nothing but rain since we got home. Just socked-in, drenching rain all day every day. It’s like it’s November!

Thank you!

I hear you! I picked up groceries and went to Bible study. Other than, inside and sheltered from the rain. Heading to church this morning, though. We didn’t do a lot of walking this trip, just lots of short in and out of the car mostly. Hubby’s knee was bugging him, plus too busy logging miles in the car!

Glad you had a good time on your time away from it all. It’s always good to take a break. Lord bless you! Thanks for sharing with us.
Beth Erin says
I always take too many books on vacation. There’s just too much to do to keep a family running smoothly when traveling. Some day I’ll get a real vacation involving reading and rest!
Glad you had the chance to get away, Valerie :-)
Congratulations, winners and thank you, Inspy ladies for blessing me again!

I don’t understand this phrase “too many books”???? Would you care to explain? ;) Love my Kindle, is all I can say! Congrats on being a winner.
Valerie Comer says
Thanks and congrats, Linda!
Beth Erin says
“too many books” aka “not enough reading time” so I made my bag heavier for no reason, lol! My Kindle goes with me just about everywhere but I love those paperbacks.
Thank you!
Valerie Comer says
I used to love paperbacks, too, but my eyes can no longer manage the print.
Trixi says
