Happy March!
I think we had a little communication hiccup on the admin team, so I’m jumping in with this week’s Sunday Edition. We just had three days of insanely high winds (gusts of over 70 mph on Friday — and not just one or two), but it seems like that’s all died down now. Damage to our house has been minimal — a few little strips of siding that should be easy enough to fix. Several houses in the neighborhood, however, have lost large sections of their roof. I think it’s safe to say that, at least for us, March has come in like a lion.

Hi Elizabeth! Glad to hear you are fairing well after the feisty March winds. Been a crazy winter. So looking forward to Spring. Best wishes. Enjoy your Sunday.
Elizabeth Maddrey says
Thanks, Renate! I’m looking forward to spring too! I have a few brave crocus stems starting to poke out. It’s always a good sign!
Jackie Smith says

We’ve had winds but most of all rain.
My arthritis and allergies are rebelling.

Yay for those first flowers!
Elizabeth Maddrey says

My allergies are going nuts too. I think it’s the maple trees starting to bud.

Jessica B. says

Elizabeth Maddrey says
Thanks!
Elizabeth says
It’s been windy here, too. We had to drive several hours in it on Friday night to visit family and it was really moving the car! I didn’t notice any damage in our neighborhood except for some limbs down.
Elizabeth Maddrey says
Glad you don’t have any damage!
Lucy M Reynolds says
Glad you are ok. Lots of wind, rain, and snow here in WV.
Becky Smith says
We have terrible winds right now, but the weather is warm – 60 degrees. We’ve had 4 of our children and 3 of our grandchildren here this weekend, so it was nice the kids could play outside! After an extremely busy week, I’m looking forward to a more relaxed week. AND maybe getting more time to just read.
MJSH says
It’s been crazy windy here, too! Apparently there were some downed power lines nearby but we weren’t affected.
Trixi says
Happy SONday Inspy romance!
Elizabeth I’m so glad every one is okay at your house! We often get wind gusts like that out here on the Oregon coast and it can be scary. The worst I’ve lived through is power outages for a few hours. I missed the big one in 2007 that put power outages for five days and damage to some houses and many trees down. Thank the good Lord!
Congrats to this weeks winners! Looking forward to another great week.
Elizabeth Maddrey says
Snow. We missed out on snow this year I think. It’s kind of sad.
Elizabeth Maddrey says
Yay for time to read! And 60 degrees :) We’ve been in the 50s,but the wind has made it chillier. Things have died down now, and I’m hoping for warm enough to throw the kids outside tomorrow because they need to run!
Elizabeth Maddrey says
Glad you weren’t impacted! I had friends at church who were still without power and were being told maybe Tuesday evening!
Elizabeth Maddrey says
So glad your outages have only been a few hours. That’s been our experience as well, though we have friends who have been out since Friday morning and aren’t expecting it back on until Tuesday night. We’ve offered our guest room, but they said they’re enjoying “camping” :)
Katherine Good says
We’ve had crazy winds as well! Oh, nor-easters…
Natalya Lakhno says
Great round-up of all activities! Thank you!
Olufisayo Alabi says
Hope I can win the international pack!
Janice Carroll says
Look forward to reading your next book, Donuts & Daydreams. Spring like weather is here one day and gone the next. I enjoy hearing the birds chirping.
