Kathleen, Carol, and Laurie
It’s Saturday – just after noon and I’m sitting at one of my local Paneras waiting to see some of my favorite people in the world. In this case, fellow InspyRomancers Kathleen Y’Barbo and Laurie Tomlinson!!! Kathleen’s husband has chauffeured them from their town to mine so Kathleen can be our special guest speaker at my local American Christian Fiction Writers’ meeting. After the meeting is over, we’ll head to Oklahoma to meet up with the lovely and talented Jeane Wynn for the world premiere of For Better or For Worse. It’s a Hallmark Channel movie based on a book by the late Diann Hunt. I never had the privilege of meeting Diann, but I’ve heard so many very wonderful things about her.
The movie stars Lisa Whelchel and Kim Fields. You may remember them as Blaire and Tootie from The Facts of Life. If you didn’t have a chance to catch the movie Saturday night, you might try to find a rerun of it :). Diann wrote contemporary romance and, of course, we’re all about that around here! I read the book last week and enjoyed it. I’ll be looking for more books by Diann when I frequent my used bookstore etc.
*Yes, I’m writing this at noon, but the pictures are from later in the day ;). I’m sure you figured that out :D.
We finished swim team this week with a party and a make-up meet. I’m also in the last week of summer school (I get to give the tests! ;)) and am looking forward to the break before fall session starts!

Liked the post. I got to see the movie based on Diann Hunt’s book. It was very good. I might try to catch it again to see what I missed the first time.
Congrats to all the finalists and winners of awards! Super excited for all of you.
Carol, it’s great to see you had the opportunity to meet up with Kathleen and Laurie :) I hoping to see a couple of Inspy Romance ladies at RWA this week. And, of course, I’ll be cheering for Carla at the RITA Award ceremony :)
That’s great!!! Get me pics and I’d be happy to use them!
