Happy Mother’s Day!
(If it’s Mother’s Day where you are, of course. Here in the U.S. it is. On the other hand, it’s never wrong to be grateful for mom.)
We don’t tend to do a lot of Mother’s Day celebrating in my family. After 13 years of infertility, where the day was like pouring acid on a gaping wound, it still stings a little. I’m so very grateful for my two boys, and I love that they make me a card, but I’m happy if that’s all that happens, too. So if you’re celebrating Mother’s Day, I hope you’ll spare a moment to pray for the women in your life for whom this maybe isn’t the happiest of days, whether that’s because they’ve recently lost their mother, they’ve struggled to become a mother and not succeeded, or whatever mom-related pain they might be experiencing.

Hi Elizabeth, happy Mother’s Day to you:) It is Mother’s Day here in Australia, but we are pretty low key about it- my boys gave me cuddles and a card they made:) and that is enough:) Thanks for your reminder that today can be very painful for many- my two sister’s in law are both wonderful, Godly women who have not been able to be mum’s and today is a very difficult day indeed for them. I am so thankful for the love they give to my boys amidst their pain.
Blessings:)
Hi Elizabeth and Happy Mother’s Day to you, to all the Inspy authors, and their readers. Thanks for sharing your story. Thoughts and prayers for those, who may be having a difficult time today. So thankful to remember my mom, a godly woman of strength, determination, and tenacity. As a WW2 survivor and an immigrant, she taught me to be a survivor. Her faith carried through many hardships. Best wishes from rainy Michigan.
Happy mother’s day to everyone here, bless you all for all you have done and continue to do!
Cuddles and cards have been my morning experience – and it’s been lovely. Now I need more coffee :)
Your mom sounds amazing. What a blessing to have a woman like that for a mom.
Thanks for hanging out with us!
Hey Elizabeth, I’m so glad you have your two boys. And so glad they ended up with a great Christian mom.
Aw, thanks!
Happy Mother’s Day! I didn’t marry until I was 41 and haven’t been blessed with any kids. I am glad that I have my Mother nearby to celebrate with.
My mom is also nearby and I love getting to celebrate with her!
