Welcome to the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia! My husband and I spent a lovely vacation there in September, so I’ll be sharing some of my photos with you over the next few Sundays. This was a new area for me! Although on the mainland, the Sunshine Coast is only accessible by ferry (or air or boat), which we caught in Vancouver. The colors of the trees, water, and even the beach, as shown in this photo, were endlessly fascinating! Sitting by the ocean soothes my soul. What does that for you?

The moral of this gull’s story is: don’t bite off more than you can chew. He wasn’t about to give up on swallowing this starfish, but the starfish wasn’t about to be swallowed. I wonder if he’s still standing there now?

Thanks for the photos. They’re gorgeous! We just got back from Disney World in Florida followed by a day at the beach. We had gorgeous weather and a great time with the family.

Canada is very diverse. We honestly have almost every type of terrain but no jungles. Some areas we were in this trip (and other locations on BC’s SW coast even have palm trees. Probably not naturally occurring, LOL, but they survive just fine.
Happy springtime :)

Thank you! You, too.

We’ve been going to BC for vacation to visit my husband’s family for 25 years and each time we go, there’s something new to see. This past August we saw Capilano Suspension bridge. So many beautiful things to see and do. Thanks for sharing with us.

Thank you :)

I’ve never seen it! We rarely spend an extra five minutes in the city if we can possibly help it, so we’ve zipped by on the Trans-Canada on our way to Horseshoe Bay any number of times!
Shannon Taylor Vannatter says
Beautiful pics. The beach soothes my soul too. Seashells will do if the beach isn’t around. My office is full of seashells.

We’re redoing our bathroom this winter to a beachy theme, so my buckets of shells and rocks will find a home. Still working on exactly how!
