We’re now officially in the countdown to Christmas! At my house the Christmas tree is up and I’m working on my Christmas to-do list. We’ve been baking gingerbread cookies and we’ll soon start gift wrapping. Have you finished your Christmas shopping, or do you shop last minute? Are you hand making any Christmas gifts this year?

Wemble says
Hi Narelle:) Our tree is up and the nativity is underneath but no presents. The boys just want to poke them and guess what is in them- so they do not go under until Christmas Eve. I have finished gift shopping- I do that over the course of the year as I find things; I hate last minute shopping! No baking yet- we have one more week of school, then I will start thinking about cooking!
Blessings:)
Renate says
Hi Narelle! Have the Advent decorations up and children’s decorations. Tree may be up today. Also did some Christmas shopping for grandchildren and husband. Having a difficult time finding gifts for my three grown sons and my two daughter in laws. Plan to mail Christmas cards this week and do some baking. Merry Christmas and blessings.
Valerie Comer says
Merry Christmas down under, Narelle! It will be fun seeing your Aussie traditions in December Sunday Editions.
My shopping is pretty much done. I’ve done some experimental Christmas baking, by which I mean I’ve tried some new (sugar free!) recipes that we liked so much I have to make them again…
No tree yet, and no decorations. Hmm. Guess it’s nearly time!
Margaret Nelson says
I’ve pretty much got my shopping done, which is earlier than a lot of years :-) It looks like we’re going away for Christmas, so we may not put up a tree at all. The other decorations are all up, so that’s enough for me :-)
Natalya Lakhno says
Have a blessed Sunday Narelle!
I still have some shopping to do :) I love to give gifts!
Merry Christmas everyone!!!
Janet Estridge says
No Decorations on the Tree because there isn’t a tree.
No Christmas shopping of any kind.
No Christmas spirit.
I’ve been sick for 2 weeks and I’ll probably be sick at Christmas.
When I get sick, I really, really, am sick and it takes me weeks to get over what I have.
No Merry Christmas at my house for sure.

Hi Wemble, I’ve always hidden the ‘surprise’ gifts for my kids until Christmas Eve. It’s our last week of school, too. Our school year has gone by way too fast! I try to avoid last minute shopping. Blessings. :)
Narelle Atkins says
Hi Renate, I find it easier to buy gifts for kids than adults. My teens prefer gift cards. I have Christmas cards to send out this week, too. Merry Christmas and blessings. :)
Narelle Atkins says
Hi Valerie, We bought a new tree this year and put it up early. When my teens are enthusiastic about doing things, we roll with it! Sugar free baking recipes sound good! Our hot summer Christmas is different to your snowy Christmas. Merry Christmas! :)
Narelle Atkins says
Hi Margaret, Well done on finishing your Christmas shopping early! We were away for Christmas last year and didn’t put up our tree. It’s fun doing the Christmas decorating! :)
Narelle Atkins says
Hi Natalya, Enjoy your Christmas shopping and gift giving! Blessings. :)
Narelle Atkins says
Hi Janet, I’m so sorry to hear you’re unwell and I empathise. Praying you recover quickly. I’m struggling with weekly migraines which are quite debilitating. Take care. xo
Alexa Verde says

Narelle Atkins says
