Hey there, lovers of inspirational romance!! It’s felt like spring here this week and it’s put me in a great mood! (Plus, as I’m writing we just had Christmas with some friends (we always do it late – and wrap birthdays for everyone in, too – and we always give her books ;)) AND my hometown high school basketball team just won back-to-back state championships – so good mood makers all around :D.)
What about you? What’s the weather like there? Are you finally starting to feel springlike?
One sure way to know spring has sprung – at least in the States? Basketball. March Madness abounds at my house. During an unexpected lunch date with the hubs Friday, we talked about his brackets and how well he was doing. I’m afraid my eyes sort of glazed over but I really did try to follow along… Is there something your significant other/siblings/kids/friends/random strangers talk about that you try to understand and just don’t? Am I alone in not understanding March Madness or wanting to do a bracket picked based on things like prettiest colors, best marching band, or most agile mascot and see how I do? For me, March Madness is more writing-and-reading frenzy than non-stop basketball and I like it that way.
Anyway, to my knowledge, there’s no “best bracket” contest here at the InspyRomance Resort, but we did have a pretty great week. And there are WINNERS!! If you’re one of them email us at:

Carol, I’m more into the NBA than college basketball (although I do sneak a peek at those up-and-comers on occasion). I also get the glazed-over eyes from my family sometimes. I’m really trying to learn to keep my stories to just the neatest facts to snag their interest. It’s been working lately. Did you know Russell Westbrook (OKC Thunder) sprained his right knee again? Hope this doesn’t mean another surgery!
I know that feeling of not getting it. Sometimes my brain just doesn’t wrap around a subject. When that happens, I’m learning that it’s okay. I don’t have to understand everything. If it’s not crucial, it’s all right not to get it. If it’s critical, I’ll have you explain it to me a different way until it sinks into my brain. That method seems to be doing the trick for me.
I hope you also have a fabulous week!
Blessings,
Andrea

See, I never followed college basketball, but I grew up a Phoenix Suns fan and followed them nearly religiously. But when I moved to the Midwest just over 20 years ago, we didn’t have a basketball team anywhere nearby. Now, OKC is the closest, but it’s still 4.5 hours away in a different state and I’m more of a baseball gal. STL Cardinals, baby!!! :D

Were you totally excited when they won it all? I have a friend who’s a Cardinals fan, and I think she did a huge happy dance when they won.
