Glory. I am so glad this week is OVER. I struggle with tense muscles–not sometimes but always. Even after a massage, my muscles are tight. This week I tried a familiar, but mostly underutilized product on my neck and shoulders before bed. The first day, I woke up feeling icky–light-headed, nauseous, over-all icky. Since colds and other yuck are still lingering, and I’ve had some allergies to dust/pollen because of our renovations, I thought nothing of it. I repeated the process that night (putting product on my neck and shoulders). During the night, I woke up several times with my head spinning because I had moved. Vertigo. It was then that I realized the cream I was using was affecting me adversely. In the morning, I had a MASSIVE migraine. But I had a dentist appointment. I took meds and muscled through. Two days later I am still feeling its effects a little, despite not having repeated the process. Now, before you fuss, I had used this cream on other muscles previously, including my shoulders, and had no reaction, which is why I didn’t even consider it originally. I don’t think I’m allergic, but I definitely won’t use it on my neck again. :o
On the up side, my shower is ALMOST done. I can’t wait to share pics with you–‘cuz I just know you care. :D We have to wait another three weeks for the shower door–a single piece of glass cut to fit our opening, which couldn’t be measured until the tile was complete. BUT we took a shower in there last night anyway. The shower is almost fully enclosed, so water doesn’t spray out. It was SO NICE showering in my own bathroom. haha

Hi Ginger, prayers that you feel better- migraine’s, tight muscles make for hard days and not great sleep!
So glad that your bathroom is coming along, I can imagine you are ready for the mess and disruption to be over.
We remembered Australian and New Zealand soldiers on ANZAC Day this week- our eldest son decided he was old enough to attend the dawn service which made for a very early start to the day, but I love that he is wanting to understand and reflect and show thanks to those who serve.
Blessings:)
Hi Ginger! Hope you feel better soon. My sympathies for the cold and the yuck, hubby and I have also had a miserable month. Concerning your cream, as we age we can develop allergies we have never had. Also maybe the company reformulated the product. I have been using the same skin care product for 20 years, which was recently reformulated. Verdict still out if I will be using it. Blessings for a restful Sunday.
Goodness, Ginger, that’s awful. I know you can become allergic to things at any point in life. I had eaten peanuts most my life, and then all of a sudden I became allergic to them. I hope you are able to get to the bottom of it. I will be praying. I’ve had migraines before too. There’s just about nothing worse. I pray this will all be gone and you have a wonderful week this week! ?
Hope you feel better, Ginger! I sympathize re allergies, reactions …yuck. The pollen this spring has been horrible for me. I can often have a food allergy, too.
Hope you enjoy that shower more and more.
Blessings.
I am glad Renate shared about companies reformulating….interesting.
Oh my, I guess after using something like this and having no adverse effects, I wouldn’t think twice about using it either. Welllll, lesson learned I guess. How exciting that your shower is almost done. LOL I totally know what you mean about having to wait for the door and using the shower with out it. We had a 3×3 shower and this bathroom was so small we could basically stand in one place and just turn in circles to do whatever. LOL. So we had our shower (bigger for sure) pushed out into the garage. Whooeee what a difference this makes. I love our new bathroom now. And we were able to add storage space with out taking away from all this new room. Enjoy your bathroom and shower.
Migraines are the worst! I hope this week is much better for you.
Sorry you feel yukky! Glad for your new shower. Hope you feel more like yourself now. Looking forward to reading next weeks posts!
I sympathize with the tight muscles!! I went about a year without a massage, and really started paying for it! Finally got things to where they were better, and then did a number on my neck. It’s getting better, but still not back to where it should be. Thankfully, no migraine! I feel for you with those! Congrats on getting your shower re-done!! Hope you feel back to 10% soon!
Dawn service. Whew. I remember when the church I attended had a sunrise Easter service. Those were hard.
Blessings,
G
Thanks, Renate. I hope you have no adverse effects from your newly reformulated skin care product. It is so annoying when companies try to make perfectly good products better by changing them.
Blessings,
G
Thanks, Kathy.
I think corn and peanuts must be the two hardest things to be allergic to. They are in so many food products.
Blessings,
G
The pollen has been bad this year. I pray it eases for you.
Blessings,
G
I think any renovations/repairs are messy and more time consuming than we realize. :)
Glad you got a bigger shower and storage from yours. :)
Blessings,
G
Thanks, Kimberly.

Thanks, Paula
Thanks, Trudy.

I have always had tense muscles in my shoulders, even when I was a teen. Last year, I went to the chiropractor for the first time and it helped so much. I went every 2 weeks for months just so that my muscles would stay relaxed. Wow, what a difference it made! I haven’t been back for a while, but now I”m thinking I might need to make a trip. :)
Even my chiro comments on my tenseness. Adjustments do nothing, sadly. But I mostly don’t notice anymore, unless they spasm.
So good that your chiro could help.
Blessings,
G
