Given that it’s January 12, the above picture is what it SHOULD be doing where I live. Well, not really, but it’s what I’d like to see once in a while. Instead, yesterday, we got thunderstorms with a chance of tornadoes. Thankfully, the storms dissipated some before hitting our area, so the severe weather didn’t pan out, but it seemed more like March than mid-January. It made for good napping weather though. ;)

Hi Ginger! The weather has been unseasonable warm in Michigan. In the fifties and Friday night lots of rain. The creek near our house is over the banks and the park is under water again. Lots of flooding. Since Lake Michigan is at an all time record high for water level, this over flows the rivers, which over flows the creeks. Erosion on the Great Lakes is heart breaking. While the waves last night were amazing and folks were surfing, we have lost our beaches and afraid we may this year loose the street. In all 65 that I lived in the area, I have never seen so much water and so little beach. Worried about tourist season this summer. Yesterday the temperatures dropped and we now have a covering of snow. Blessings this Sunday.

We had 7” of snow Monday, 16 out on Tues. Yesterday was 68, and the front door open, then last night horrible wind and rain. Branches down everywhere.

Not enough rain here in California. Have a blessed Sunday!

We vacationed on Lake Erie quite a number of years ago. It was beautiful. I can’t imagine the devastation of lots of flooding, even though I’ve almost always lived near water of some sort. Here it’s the Tennessee River, though we’re not particularly close. We’ve personally never dealt with flooding other than a few road closures. For which I’m thankful.
I would love a covering of snow. Even with the “cold” front that came through, we are still in the mid fifties today, and the forecast predicts we’ll get back into the 60s and 70s later this week. :( I’m not a huge fan of cold weather, but I do like a little to kill the bugs and maybe see a splattering of snow.
Ginger Solomon says
I’d be happy to share with Australia too. :)

The weather is CRAZY, isn’t it? I just looked at the forecast for the week. Mostly 60s and 70s, and then next Sunday 35. :o

We’ll share. Except it comes to us from your direction, so … :(

We’re finally kinda living up to being the Sunshine State, and have had warmer than usual weather. To already be in the 80’s just means I’m already dreading summer!! I’ve heard other areas of AL got hit pretty hard, Puerto Rico is having earthquakes, and the Philippines are dealing with an active volcano. So much going on! I’ll take our weather and be thankful!!
