I’m feeling a wee bit like this tree today, standing alone, separated from the group. Most times, the feeling is just that and can’t be trusted. I know I have people around me who would come along side me in a heartbeat (outside of my family) if I needed them. Except sometimes, I think we all feel just a little bit alone. I want to tell you, as I remind myself, that you are NOT alone. Not only is Jesus right beside us, but so many others are as well. We have only to voice our need, which is really the hard part.

Hi Ginger- yep! And I also need to remind myself that no matter how I feel, Jesus is there. Thank you:)
Today was Australia Day- so we celebrated out on the water. It was good, but the weather was a little wild!
Blessings:)
Paula Marie says
Thank you, Ginger, I have been struggling with this myself…bless you!
Jan Gilmour says
Thanks for your post Ginger, this is just what I need today.

There’s a whole grove of trees around you, Ginger! An entire forest, really, and we’re all drawing life from the same source of living water. Hugs, my friend. #neveralone

I think that all of us feel this way sometimes!! And, you’re so right!!! Voicing our needs are definitely the hardest thing to do!! Asking for help is also very hard for me, as I found out when I broke my wrist 18 hears ago!!
Patty says
This is not uncommon, especially for me, an introvert! I don’t always connect very easily with people, but know I need to push outside my comfort zone more often.
Lincoln says
Oh yeah, hear you, sister. So, when you finish reading this comment, put your left hand on your right shoulder, your right hand on your left shoulder and squeeze. That’s a hug across the distance from your IR friends. Repeat as needed :) Asking for help is hard, I think, because we don’t know what we need sometimes and other times we don’t know what others are willing to give. Just as a fun distraction (and maybe a real help) make up a list like they do for contributors like to public television.
Bronze level contributions: a hug, a cup of coffee, a ride to the grocery store.
Silver level contributions: mow the lawn, a neck rub, do a load of laundry (including folding!)
Gold level contributions: a spa day for you and 2 BFFs, do ALL the laundry
Platinum level contributions: a two week Caribbean cruise, pay off the mortgage
You may not get any Platinum contributors but you may be surprised at how many Silver and Gold helpers there are!
Blessings, Ginger.

Happy Australia Day, Wemble. Celebrating on the water sounds fun, well except the wild weather. I’m not much of a swimmer, but I love boats.
Ginger Solomon says
You are most certainly welcome, Paula Marie.
Ginger Solomon says
I’m so glad it was helpful, Jan.
Ginger Solomon says
You speak truth, Valerie, but sometimes “I” can’t see the forest for the trees. :o
Ginger Solomon says
Broken wrist. Ouch!
Ginger Solomon says
I connect fine one on one with an extrovert who seeks me out. :D
Ginger Solomon says
Thanks, Lincoln. Funny thing is my husband has scheduled us a two week cruise in the Caribbean for later this year. :) (And we don’t have a mortgage. I have a great husband.)
Ellie says
Thanks for this reminder!
Ginger Solomon says
You’re welcome.
Trudy says
Make that 18 years ago! I don’t recommend it; it’s not fun! Neither are the surgeries, if you do the break I did!
Nancy says
As others have said, what you expressed has been how I have felt for some time now. I know there is prayer, that helps as well as reading the Bible in a planned way. What makes me sad is 2 oof our 3 children have lost their way spiritually and both suffer depression. Especially our baby, 37 but still my baby, she has multiple health problems as well as anxiety and depression. Has not admitted that she needs God back in her life, I think that would be a great help to her mentally.
Thank you for your writing and the good it does.
