More from the aquarium there on the left. FROGS!
Youngest boy is enamored of frogs and we had a blast looking for all the various poison dart frogs that the aquarium had to view.
Fun fact: poison dart frogs bred in captivity aren’t usually poisonous! The frogs in the wild develop their poison from the ants they eat. Who knew?

My cousin is enamoured of frogs – she has been collecting frog paraphernalia since she was a child and simply loves them. It’s wonderful to see the way her face lights up when she receives another “froggy” gift, it is such a passion for her.
Elizabeth Maddrey says
I think this will be my boy. He spends hours with the frogs in our yard.
Lila Diller says
I never knew that about poison being from the ants! Thanks for the useless fun fact that I can pass on to my boys! :D They’re always telling me useless fun facts they learn about their schoolwork or their video games, so now it’s time for me to turn the tables. ;)
Elizabeth Maddrey says
I’m a big fan of trivia. When my parents were dating, Dad would tell Mom a different useless fact every day.
Lori Smanski says
Congratulations to all the winners.
I have a nephew who from the time he could walk was enamored with insects. And yes frogs were on that list. We would hunt for these little things. My mom had a pond in her back yard and he found tons of little and big frogs there. Oh a little boy in heaven. LOL He is now 33 and still loves insects and frogs. He even has his own party where he has lots of reptiles and shares and educates others who have these parties. He has a big yellow snake that is very gentle and loves children. Her name is Lemon Drop.
Elizabeth Maddrey says
We have a pond too. It’s a joy for frog lovers :)
He wants a snake. I…can’t do snakes so he’ll have to wait til he’s on his own for that.
Trudy says
The Back to School Bash is always fun! I’m not crazy about frogs, but I do like this: Forever Relying On God, or FROG. I’ll admit, I do like stuffed fake ones!! I still have one my Mom made for me many years ago.
Elizabeth Maddrey says
Oh I love that acronym!
Natalya Lakhno says
Frogs…no thank you 🤣 staying away from them.
Thank you to all authors for a great Back-to-School Giveaway ❤️
Have a blessed Sunday!
Priscila Perales says
While I don’t consider myself a fan of frogs, I guess I could admire them from behind a glass, lol.
The Back-to-School Giveaway was fantastic! It was lots of fun, and I loved getting to interact with all the authors :) I truly appreciate each of you, and the God-honoring work that you do ^.^
Elizabeth Maddrey says

Wow, this is one very busy Blog. I have never had so many emails in my life. I guess I checked off the wrong notification (or the right one, considering what I like to read). Wonderful piece of information about poisonous frog becoming poisonous because of the ants. Our four year old grandson will love that. He is always filling my ears with Sierra, Poland, Tobago (sometimes Tomato), all the planets and their characteristics and especially loves all the dwarf planets. Now, I can tell him about frogs. LOL
Paula Shreckhise says
Interesting about the poisonous frogs not being poisonous in captivity.
He is a cute little thing. I like them way better than snakes or bugs.
Elizabeth Maddrey says
It does get busy around here. And yay for sharing factoids.
Elizabeth Maddrey says
Yes! Me too :)
