He WAS happy, but it was a bit of a long hike for the old boy.
I’m glad Brody enjoyed a swim, but I’d have been like you and stayed out of that water! The area sure is pretty!!
I wasn’t very tempted to get in the water with him!
Separately is silently understood lol. I miss my quiet morning and afternoon commutes to work…
Such a peaceful little spot where the lake is! I don’t blame you for wanting a bit of “alone” time; I’m (mostly) an introvert and that much togetherness would drive me crazy too :-) Looks like Brody was quite happy!
Spending time with family is great though! I love visiting my sister-in-law for a week twice a year and getting away from responsibility is quite relaxing. Having that “girl” time is fun, it’s refreshing to have that down time.

My sister has two small dogs who she loves to take to the water!
I totally get why two introverts need to get away! lol The lake looks peaceful but a little green.
Lots of dogs love water, and Brody is part Lab, so he adores it. We had one years ago who hated getting wet, though!

Introverts, me too and my wife! One of our family mottos is “I love you dearly, but go away.” She to her she spot, I to my man cave and restoration ensues.

It sounds like an exciting outing because I camp all summer long & going out on the river. We get to spend time with both sides of the family also. It’s very fun & I bet you enjoyed it.
I bet you enjoyed it alot cause it sounds like it was fun! We just closed our camper for the winter months & will miss it for sure.

Happy to find another devoted camper! We camped for three weekends in June and then three weeks in August, which was all we had time for without ignoring the farm and garden too much. But yes great time with some extended family and with our kids and grandgirls. Social distancing is much more palatable when there is a campfire involved :)
We still have some nonperishable food to transfer to the house and then the final clean. We blew out the waterlines last week. Boo!
