August adventures with the Comers continue into November! Camping in south-central British Columbia for a week with my husband’s family was so relaxing. We kept an eye on this bluff across from the campsite since there are reputed to be mountain goats in the area, but we didn’t spot any.

It was the perfect week to be camped by Jewel Lake (not the same Jewel Lake that’s in some of my novels, haha!). We swam every afternoon and paddled our kayaks every evening. Some of our clan went fishing. Me? I looked for the loons and stalked them. Twice I was able to paddle quite close to several loons for fifteen or twenty minutes. Alas, there are no photos. It was quite dark by then, and I hadn’t taken the camera into the kayak.

Hi Valerie!Thanks for sharing your inspiring travel photos. So appreciated during this time of sheltering in place. Nature can be so serene. Unfortunately that that way this weekend in SW Michigan. We have WNW wind at 20 mph, which will cause more erosion along Michigan’s 1000 miles of shore.
