Moul Falls was probably everyone’s highlight of our week in Wells Gray Provinical Park back in August. Part of the trail is a relatively flat deactivated logging road which then becomes a forest trail to the top of the falls. You can’t see much from there, so we followed the steep trail (some of it stairs) to the bottom of the canyon and then walked the narrow path behind the falls to a large cave on the other side. If you look very closely beside the t in this photo, you’ll see some tiny people on the other side. That’s where we went!

Beautiful pics!! I’m not sure I’d have gotten as close as you did! Lol!! I’m thinking my fear of heights might have kicked in big time!
There were parts of that trail that really freaked me out, especially because it was so muddy and slippery around the bottom of the falls. I don’t have great vision, can’t see without my glasses, but water was pouring off them! The younger grandgirl is also a cautious hiker, but she handed Grandpa her glasses and said she could see better without them (because of the water). So, yeah, I didn’t exactly stop, look around, and do a dance behind that waterfall! The track was narrow and slick. But it was worth it :) and it’s the first thing the girls talk about from that trip.
Oh, I can relate!! I wear glasses, too!! Part of the reason I don’t like wearing the masks cause they just fog up my glasses so I can’t see!! I now know I would NOT have liked that trail!
My sis-in-law sewed masks for us that have a wire (pipe cleaner actually) sewn in around the top. Bending that over the top of my nose is usually enough to keep my glasses from fogging. It helps a lot, anyway.
And yeah. I wanted to make the memory with the grandgirls and be a good example. It was out of my comfort zone, but doable, and it was worth it. Not many people can say they walked behind a waterfall, and the girls are making the most of the tale! If I’d decided I “couldn’t” do it, the younger one would have stayed with me, and I’m not sure the older one would have gone, either.
I’d rather they remember the experience this way, of facing their fears and doing it anyway. Grandpa was right there with the girls, holding their hands as needed, and left me on my own to plod along. Ha!!!
Good morning, Congratulations to the winners! Thank you for sharing your great looking pictures. Have a great week and stay safe. God Bless you and your family.
Thank you! Blessings on your Thanksgiving.
Again, beautiful pics, thank you so much for sharing your adventures with us!
Wow, Valerie, these are such beautiful pictures. You ought to publish them, like put them up on the internet or something. Wait…I get it. Never mind. :)
Since I don’t have kids or grands, I’d have chickened out! lol!! I love that you’re making such great memories with them!!
When I had the heart attack three years ago, the grandgirls were 7, 5, 5, and 9 months. I realized even the “big kids” would have limited memories of me as they grew older. It’s been my focus ever since to focus on building those up and making sure they remember me as someone who loved them passionately and pointed them to Jesus consistently.
Thanks for coming along :)
Haha! It kills me not to post photos of their sweet, happy faces, but I respect their families’ privacy too much to do that. This is the next best thing!
What a great legacy to want to leave behind for your children and grandchildren!! You’re well on your way!! Not to mention, they’ll also know you from the books you’ve written!
I guess they will, at that! :) But those aren’t just for them. They’re my legacy for everyone.
Love the pics. I do like waterfalls. I loved Nairn Falls. While Niagara Falls is impressive I loses some of its beauty due to being so build up around it.
Tasmania has some beautiful falls. We saw some during a tour of Tassie.
Thanks for sharing these beautiful pictures.
I’m glad you enjoyed the photos! We didn’t hike down to Nairn – too many miles to drive that day.
You’re welcome, Mary! I love sharing them. :)
Congratulations to the winners.
Beautiful photos of the falls.
Thank you!
Have a blessed Thanksgiving!
You too, Natalya!
Have a happy and blessed Thanksgiving.
You, too!
As always inspiring photos. My family has taken to hiking recently. We go along on some of the hikes. I really enjoy them. I wiped out last Sunday on a tree root I didn’t see and went flying. I landed hard on my nose and mouth. Fortunately my teeth all stayed intact😊. And we were past the halfway point so we kept going. I really wanted to finish.
Ouch! I’m sorry to hear of your tumble, but I’m glad you’re okay! Hiking can be dangerous, LOL.
Thanks for sharing some photos from your travels! We live in an area with quite a few waterfalls nearby, so fun to hike to.
Aren’t they, though? Thanks for coming by today.
I love waterfalls! We have many here in Oregon where I live, my favorite being Multnomah Falls. Such lovely pictures Valerie, I’m sure everyone had a great time camping :-)
Happy SONday everyone!
Multnomah is so tall!!! Have a great week.
Congratulations to the winners. Thank you so much for sharing the beautiful pictures. We have been to Blackwater Falls in Davis, West Virginia. God Bless you. Happy Thanksgiving.
I looked them up – those are sure pretty, Debra!
