Happy Sunday and Happy Valentine’s Day! We often launch our Inspy Romance Birthday Bash on Valentine’s Day, but this year we launched our giveaway month a couple of days early. It’s Valentine’s morning in Australia and my husband is cooking bacon and eggs for breakfast. A lovely way to start the day before we head out to church.
I enjoyed recording the Birthday Bash podcast/YouTube episode with Elizabeth and Valerie. It was great to see the Grand Prize and paperback books – plus imagine how nice the paperbacks smell. A big part of the reading experience for me is the sensory experience, and I do love reading paperbacks. I love the convenience of my Kindle, but I will never give up reading print books.
Being an Aussie, the International Prize bundles are always an exciting part of the Birthday Bash. Readers who live outside the US often miss out on being eligible for print book giveaways. Our generous Inspy Romance authors are offering two prize bundles for non-USA readers. We order the international prize books from The Book Depository – which delivers to most countries. Don’t forget to click the link on the sidebar to register if you’re an international entrant.
Our Grand Prize includes a Kindle Fire – which I haven’t seen in-person because it’s not available in Australia. It’s a wonderful prize bundle that offers many hours of comfortable reading with eight paperbacks, a cute silver spoon bookmark, and other goodies.

I’ve only just discovered your podcast and blog! I’ve been reading Christian romance books for years and was delighted to see the faces of the authors of the books I have read. I was madly writing down all the other authors I hadn’t heard about. Thanks and I look forward to reading the blog.
Happy Valentine’s Day! I prefer reading print books which is why I have so many bookcases!
Hi Leanne, It’s lovely to meet you, and we’re glad you’ve discovered our podcast and blog. Here at the blog, if you go to the ‘Books’ Page, you’ll find information on all of our books. Each podcast episode includes a list of books that we mention in the episode description, and all the Birthday Bash bundles can be found at the ‘Giveaway’ Page or by checking out Friday’s blog post. Happy reading. 😊
Hi Linda, I could easily fill more bookcases rather than overloading the current ones in our home. But, if I buy more bookcases, I’ll likely also buy more books to fill the new bookcases – which won’t fix the problem… Instead, I accept that I’m a lost cause, lol. Enjoy your Valentine’s Day. 😊
I am probably one of the few who prefers reading on the kindle or computer. I have lots of books but I find I can change the font on the kindle or computer where I cant on a book and I can also hold a kindle easier than a book.
Happy valentines day.
Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone. I am an ebook and audiobook fan.
I love reading both on kindle and paper! Happy Valentine’s Day!!
I enjoy both paperbacks and the Kindle. I keep telling myself that I could get more reading done if I’d walk on the treadmill while reading the Kindle…I just need to implement the treadmill part of that plan.
I still love holding the books, but my Kindle can hold so many more books than my house!!! Happy Valentine’s Day, though by the time you read this, it’s already passed!! I love this group of authors!!
Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone!
I’ve discovered many great authors through digital books, but there’s nothing like holding a physical book in my hand.
Happy Valentine’s Day! Being an international myself, I really appreciate the fact that y’all give away bundles of paperbacks just for us 💕. And I’ll have to go check the new episode :)
Happy Valentine’s day! We don’t celebrate that date in Brazil but it’s a lovely idea. (We do have a day to celebrate romantic relationships in winter, but that’s about it.)
I haven’t found time to read through the pandemic but made a resolution I’d restart and selected 3 paperbacks to choose from. I figured time off screen would be a good thing, so it was time to dig paperbacks.
I love reading print books. I have a lot of books in my Kindle app but I just struggle to get into reading them.
Happy and Blessed Valentines Day. I only read print.
Happy Valentine’s Day Inspy Romance!!
I do a fair share of reading ebooks, but I still much prefer print! There’s just something about holding a real book in hand, and who can resist that new book smell?
I’m excited about all the wonderful prizes and the generosity of the authors is amazing! This is so much fun every year :-)
I love ebooks! They are so convenient. However having said that, it would be awesome to have a print copy of some of my favourite books! I have really enjoyed getting to know Narelle and Elizabeth through the videochat. Valerie I also watch on her Facebook Live. It’s so lovely being able to connect with you all. Bless you!
God Loves You!
Happy Valentine’s Day! I love to read print books but E books are more convenient.
I prefer to read ebooks so I can easily take them with me when I have to take care of my parents. I never thought that would be my preference!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
I enjoy print books more too! There’s just something about holding a book in your hands and seeing the cover in person.
Happy Valentine’s Day! I love real books, I’m old school to be sure. I do also love the convenience of ebooks now…..but it took me a looong time to become a convert. I believe they each have their place. 😊📖💻
Hi, Happy Valentines Day! Thank you so much for the chance, I would rather read paper prints, I am not tech savvy at all, so I do not read ebooks at all, I am known to have lost an audio book somewhere , I had a code for it and lost it somewhere. Have a Great week and stay safe. God Bless you all.
Happy Valentines Day I only read Print Books! Have a Great Week Blessings To All!
Happy Valentine’s Day. Congratulations, Megan and Mary. God bless you.
Congratulations, winners!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Hi Jenny, I love being able to adjust the font size. My Kindle is lighter in weight than many paperbacks. Thanks for commenting. 😊
Hi Yvonne, Happy Valentines Day! I haven’t gotten into listening to audiobooks and I find it faster to read the text. I tend to get distracted (or I’m interrupted) while listening and I lose track of the story. I did try reading with my eyes closed, but then I’d fall asleep, lol. I find I can’t listen to audiobooks while I’m driving because I’m seeing the story in my mind rather than seeing the road ahead. I’m sure there is a way I could listen to audiobooks, and one day I’ll work it out! Thanks for commenting. 😊
Hi Paula, Happy Valentine’s Day! It’s fun to read in both formats. Thanks for commenting. 😊
Hi Ellie, I did try reading while on the treadmill at the gym but it wasn’t for me, lol. Instead, I listen to podcasts that match the length of my workout. Thanks for commenting. 😊
Hi Trudy, yes, I wouldn’t be able to move in my house if all the ebooks in my Kindle were print books! A scary thought… Happy Valentine’s and thanks for commenting. 😊
Hi Tina, Happy Valentine’s Day! Yes, it’s definitely special to hold and read from a print book. Thank for commenting. 😊
Hi Priscila, Happy Valentine’s Day! The international giveaways are fabulous. Enjoy the podcast/YouTube episode. 😊
Hi Priscila, In Australia we haven’t traditionally celebrated Valentine’s Day. Over time it has become more popular. Your winter romance celebration sounds fun. Paperbacks are refreshing when we’re struggling with screen fatigue. Happy reading. 😊
Hi Jessica, It can be easier to just pick up a print book and start reading. Thanks for commenting. 😊
Hi Lucy, You’re one of many readers who only read print books. Thanks for commenting. 😊
Hi Trixi, yes, I love the sensory experience of print books that my Kindle can’t replicate. The Birthday Bash is always fun. Thanks for commenting. 😊
Hi Margaret, We’re glad you’re enjoying StoryChats on YouTube. We have lots of fun putting together the episodes. I have keeper shelves of print books that I want to reread. Thanks for commenting. 😊
Hi Natalya, yes! 😊
Hi Natalya, yes! 😊
Hi Angeline, I agree, the convenience of ebooks is why I read more ebooks than print. Thanks for commenting. 😊
Hi Lori, I still remember buying my first Kindle over a decade ago, and a wonderful world of instant books opening up. Despite the benefits of ebooks, I still love the reading experience provided by print books. Thanks for commenting. 😊
Hi Mary, Happy Valentine’s Day! 😊
Hi Megan, I have a Kindle Paperwhite, which is great for me because I can read without the backlighting that can trigger migraines, but the book covers are black and white. I’ll often go online to check out a colour version of the cover before I start reading a book. The cover always look best on a print book, imho. Thanks for commenting. 😊
Hi Deb, yes, there’s definitely a place for ebooks and print books and audiobooks. Years ago people were predicting that print books would be obsolete by now. The data and the trends show that people are buying/borrowing more books in the various formats than ever because they’re available and affordable. Thanks for commenting. 😊
Hi Alicia, I attempted to teach my parents how to read and access ebooks, but they decided it was too hard and they preferred the simplicity of paperbacks. Enjoy your week and thanks for commenting. 😊
Hi Sarah, Happy reading and have a great week. 😊
Hi Debra, Happy Valentine’s and thanks for commenting. 😊
Hi Denise, Happy Valentine’s and thanks for commenting. 😊
I love paperbacks, but the last time I read more and more e-books.
I will never give up my print books even though e-books are more convenient when traveling. I like physically turning the pages and using my bookmarks . The book I just finished for book club has stickers all over it because I refuse to mark up my books.
Hi Marilene, yes, my percentage of reading is heavily weighted toward ebooks with a few paperbacks every so often. Thanks for commenting. 😊
Hi Sonnetta, I really enjoy having a break from technology with a print book. It’s satisfying to turn the page and see my progress through the story. Stickers definitely come in handy. Thanks for commenting. 😊
I’m really enjoying the podcast!
Hi Melynda, We’re glad you’re enjoying the podcast. We have lots of fun putting it together! 😊
