Happy Sunday! It’s our last day of summer in Australia and I’m looking forward to my favorite season arriving tomorrow. Spring would be my favorite if it didn’t trigger my hay fever. I’m writing this post with watery eyes from early autumn hay fever that’s thankfully much milder than spring hay fever. I’m also thankful for modern medicine and eye drops that will soon bring relief, and I’m empathizing with those of you in the northern hemisphere who suffer from spring hay fever.
The cooler weather also brings more cuddles from the fur ball aka. Miss Daisy. She enjoys basking in the summer sunshine, but she will soon migrate to her human ‘heaters’ for warmth and comfort.
We’re half way through our annual Birthday Bash giveaway and every comment on our blog posts during the giveaway period is an entry in the drawing. Today I’m featuring the five ebook prize bundles.

Ausjenny says
I don’t want summer to end. its been quite mild this year. I love the photos of Miss Daisy.
My little bratski (Libby) tends to want to get on my bed right now.
Narelle Atkins says
Hi Mary, We’ve had a milder summer in Canberra than usual but I am looking forward to autumn. Thanks for commenting. 😊
Narelle Atkins says
Hi Jenny, I’d be happy to repeat this summer re. weather every year! Miss Daisy usually spends part of the night on our bed. I hope Libby behaves herself… and doesn’t wake at dawn wanting breakfast like Miss D… Thanks for commenting. 😊
Lori R says
I am looking forward to spring next month as we have had a lot of snow this year and I cannot wait to see my flowers blooming.
Ellie says
I love the pictures of Miss Daisy!
Trudy says
Winter is my favorite season, since it’s the only time Florida cools off! Our temps this weekend haven’t been too bad, at least where I am on the Space Coast. Some have been close to records of upper 80’s, but we’ve been in the low 80’s and low humidity.
Valerie Comer says
Pretty kitty!
Spring is my favorite, and it’s coming soon in British Columbia after a very mild winter with little snow. We are now having Mud Season. Thankful to not suffer from seasonal allergies.
Natalya Lakhno says
Miss Daisy is adorable 😍
I can’t wait to spring, so I can wear all my spring dresses 👗 after winter coats!
Paula Marie says
I love spring too… but also have allergies 😥
Lila says
Cute kitty! I have a calico cat, too, though she is mostly white with a bit of coloring on her forehead and all of her tail. I think she looks like an albino raccoon who has pushed her mask up onto her forehead like sunglasses. ;)
I, too, have spring hay fever, but it’s better and better every year that I live in the same place, a nice wet climate like NC. The dryness of ID where I grew up really made my allergies miserable. Glad your autumn fever is not as bad.
Priscila Perales says
Your kitty looks perfectly cuddly! :)
And wait, what? Is the Southern hemisphere supposed to start Autumn soon? It barely feels like summer has started, ha. Guess I’ll just have to enjoy those (last) summer rays ;)
SARAH TAYLOR says
I Love Spring because of everything starting to bloom it makes it hard on a person’s Allergies though as I am one of those people always Blessings to You!
Debra J Pruss says
Your fur babies are beautiful. Congratulations to all the winners.
Trixi says
I’m looking forward to Spring, my favorite season of the year! Warmer temps, flowers & trees blooming and green grass.
I love your cats, the best feeling in the world is when they cuddle up against you. I miss having one :-)
Happy Sunday, everyone!
Lelia (Lucy) Reynolds says
I’m excited to see my first robin’s today and the rain is melting the snow. Can’t wait for warmer weather and planting my garden.
Megan says
Miss Daisy is so pretty!
Jessica B. says
I love that top picture if Miss Daisy. Cats can have such funny sleeping positions.
Ausjenny says
its not the morning thats the issue (that was Henry at 7am today) it is she takes over too much of the bed and won’t move and is scared of the floor so put her on the floor and she was back on the bed almost before her feet hit the floor
Angeline says
Congratulations to the winners!
Alicia Haney says
Your cat is Beautiful! Hard to believe March starts tomorrow. The days are just going by too fast. I am really ready for spring. Have a Great week and stay safe. God Bless you and your family. <3
denise says
Happy Autumn!
Congratulations to the winners.
Kathy Schnitz says
I like spring and fall both, because of the milder weather, and the colors. Spring, when everything finally turns green and flowers start blooming. And fall, with its brilliant colors and cooling temperatures.
Narelle Atkins says
Poor Libby :( It’s frustrating that she won’t curl up on your bed in a way that’s space efficient.
Narelle Atkins says
Hi Lori, It must be lovely to see the colour in your flowers blooming after all the snow melts. Thanks for commenting. 😊
Narelle Atkins says
Hi Ellie, Miss Daisy is my pretty kitty girl! Thanks for commenting. 😊
Narelle Atkins says
Hi Trudy, I suspect if I lived in Florida that winter would be my favorite, too! Dry heat is okay, but I’m not a fan of humidity. Thanks for commenting. 😊
Narelle Atkins says
Hi Val, Mud season does not sound like fun… After hearing about the Texas blizzards, I’d wrongly assumed most of North America must have had a bumper snow season. I’m glad you don’t suffer from seasonal allergies. 😊
Narelle Atkins says
Hi Natalya, It’s fun to put away the heavier clothes and bring out the spring wardrobe. Thanks for commenting. 😊
Narelle Atkins says
Hi Paula, I’m sorry to hear this, and I hope this spring is not a horrendous allergy season. Thanks for commenting. 😊
Narelle Atkins says
Hi Lila, Your calico kitty sounds adorable, especially with her sunglasses! I’m glad your NC climate is better for your hay fever. Interestingly, I also have less hay fever issues at the coast, but if it’s humid I’m more likely to have asthma. Thanks for commenting. 😊
Narelle Atkins says
Hi Priscila, Miss Daisy is a cuddle girl when she feels like it, lol. We’ve also had a mild summer when compared to the last couple of years. Enjoy the rest of your summer and thanks for commenting. 😊

Narelle Atkins says
Hi Marilene, It’s interesting how we often want what we don’t have. I miss the warm sunshine in winter and the cool breezes in summer. Thanks for commenting. 😊

For us, the beginning hints of spring are here. Our crop of crocuses are croaking! :)
