Was your March in like a lion and out like a lamb or the other way around? Ours definitely fit the lion first and has been relatively meek (so far, at least) as it leaves.
Of course, we also seem to have skipped spring – we hit the 80s a few times this past week, and I’m just not ready for that. I need at least a little time in the 70s. It looks like this coming week will be more my speed.
What’s your ideal temperature range?
Also, you’ve probably noticed some bloggers have mentioned they’re leaving us. March is always sad as people step away for all the varied reasons that make blogging with us a challenge. BUT! April will bring with it an infusion of new bloggers – with some new to me (and hopefully you!) authors who I am excited to add to my TBR. Like my mother always told me, “Rain makes the flowers grow.” (And I’m pretty sure she was saying it before Andrew Lloyd Webber made Les Misérables into a musical.)

I am looking forward to meeting the new bloggers.

March has gone too fast. We had some really cool days but its going out with a few days of warmer weather. Considering summer was so mild I am happy to have more warmer weather. Not looking forward to winter.
Will be nice to welcome some new bloggers to the blog.
Elizabeth Maddrey says
Yay! We have a great group coming in. I know they’ll be fantastic additions to the team.
Elizabeth Maddrey says
Do you hope for a milder winter as well? Or are there aspects of a harder winter that you rely on for the rest of the year (I know I always pray for at least a week of hard freeze to cut down on the bug population in summer.
Bernice Kennedy says
I live in Oklahoma and our weather is always varied. I like cooler weather vs hotter weather. We had some really bad winter days in January, February, and March. Bad weather is okay with me as long as I have heat, food and plenty of books.
Paula Marie says
I am looking forward to meeting some new authors as well! My ideal temps.would be 70 daytime and 40 night time!
Dianne says
I’d love clear and 23 degrees Celsius all year round. We are in our 4 seasons in one day time of the year, so a perfect time to stay tucked up safe and dry at home and read blogs.
Trudy says
Sheesh, I’d happily take low 80’s! We’ve been in the upper 80’s and 90 already!! Easter weekend we’re go be in the 70’s, and I plan to enjoy it while I can get it!!! My ideal weather is high’s in the 70’s and lows in the 40’s or 50’s, yet I’m a Florida girl! Looking forward to the new bloggers, which translates into more authors to stalk!!
Elizabeth Maddrey says
Those are definitely the necessities!
Elizabeth Maddrey says
Yes!! I would agree with those.
Elizabeth Maddrey says
That sounds about perfect. And yes – we have some days when you get the whole gamut in a day – sometimes I like that. Depends on what I have to do that day.
Elizabeth Maddrey says
Oh man. This is why I can’t do Florida year round. Too hot! I’m definitely not ready for 90s.
Lincoln says
I do love the mild temperatures of spring and fall. And the lulling sounds of spring rains on the roof and the wind in the trees take me back to my childhood and a sense of home. Having grown up in upstate NY, I learned to deal with winter cold enough to get along. Summer heat is my least favorite, though.
Congratulations to this week’s winners and a BIG welcome to the new authors of the IR family!
Elizabeth Maddrey says
Did you get this big thunderstorm this morning? I love waking to storms, though it made it tough to get going to church. But still.
Lincoln says
Oh, yes! Caught the front edge rumbling as my alarm went off. Woke up feeling loved by God!
Trixi says
This past week my family & I went to Washington visit my sister-in-law for Spring Break. It was definitely warmer & sunnier than where we live on the Oregon coast, but it felt so good! I’d say my ideal temp is upper 50’s to about 70. This time of year, our weather varies so I don’t notice if it’s more lion-like or lamb-like.
Yes, it’s sad to see so many bloggers/writers leave IR. I’ve enjoyed their posts! I’m also looking forward to meeting new writers here in April, it means new books for me…lol!
Happy Sunday everyone!
Elizabeth Maddrey says
50s to 70s sounds amazing. And yes! Yay for new books!
Judy says
Love the 70s, but we’re already in the 80s. Thank God for A/C. I love the musical and always cry for her, to never be loved by anyone.
Elizabeth Maddrey says
Yes! I am super grateful to live in an era where air conditioning is a thing.
Alicia Haney says
Our weather has been pretty nice, and March came in like a lamb for us over here. Sad to have lost some authors and bloggers, but they did what was best for them. Looking forward to meeting new authors in this blog and looking forward to chatting with the ones that are staying! :) I really enjoy this blog. Have a Great week and stay safe. God Bless you all.
Elizabeth Maddrey says
We love having you!
Natalya Lakhno says
Can’t wait to meet new authors!
Elizabeth Maddrey says
Yay!
Ausjenny says
I would like a milder winter. often a milder winter will have more rainfall as when the temps are 0 or below (C) overnight it is normally clear but when its overcast and wet its not as cold overnight. I find winter gloomy. especially when its really wet and overcast. I do like having a fire but not ready for one yet. We don’t get snow here. The bugs for Summer would be mozzies which are worse if its really wet but not a huge issue here. A hard freeze or an Antarctic Blast (we get a couple a year) where the day temps are not that warm and the wind is really cold and goes through you helps control mice to a degree and this year is going to be bad. Some parts in the east are already having mice plagues and while we don’t get plague proportions I (thanks to the cats) have seem more mice already this year then in a long time. Till I got the cats I had seen 2 in the shed. This year Libby has caught more than I can count. (3 yesterday) but on average around 10 a week. I think most are from behind the neighbours shed

I’m looking forward to meeting the new bloggers and discovering new books.

Priscila Perales says
I’m not sure about it being a lion or a lamb, but it definitely came and went fast!
Also, can’t wait to meet the new bloggers!
