He is risen!
He is risen indeed!
Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o’er His foes;
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah! Christ arose!

The lyrics to ‘Christ Arose’ are found in the public domain.
I was waiting for this song to be sung today but it wasn’t. We did do a couple of other traditional songs but I missed this one.
Happy Easter.
You can find it on Youtube and play it over and over! :)
I played it in my head many times. But least we sang hymns we knew yesterday on God Friday we sang a new song which about 2 people knew and was very hard to follow when the one person trying to lead is more a alto and this song had a few lines that went higher (not to high) but every time it went up she went down so very hard to learn.
It’s always such a balance between singing songs we’ve known forever and finding new favorites!
A blessed Easter to all our Inspy Romance authors and readers. Thank you for the powerful hymn this morning, Valerie. Brought tears to my eyes. They hymn was my father’s favorite Easter song. Enjoy the “SONshine.”
I love that hymn! It reflects both Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday so powerfully.
Risen Indeed ❤️
Amen!
He is risen indeed!! Easter isn’t Easter for me until I hear Dolly sing He’s Alive and I hear The Road to Emmaus, so I’ve listened to both on Youtube this morning! You also quoted one of my favorite Easter songs!
Add The Easter Song by Matthew Ward to that playlist! And yes to Dolly’s He’s Alive. So powerful.
Oh, you’re right!! I’m listening to it now!!! Thanks for telling me!
Have you heard the Easter version of Hallelujah it is very moving
I’d need to know what artist to look for since there are so many possibilities for that title :)
I’m not sure that I have! Who sings it??
Trudy, Jenny posted a link in the CRRG group on Facebook. It’s sung by two sisters, Cassandra and Callahan Star.
Good Morning, Happy Easter. May you and your family have a Blessed Easter. Congratulations to the winners.
Blessed Easter to you as well! He is risen, just as He said!
Good Morning, Happy Easter. May you and your family have a Blessed Easter. Congratulations to the winners. <3
Blessed Easter to you as well! He is risen, just as He said!
Happy Resurrection Sunday everyone here in IR!!!
He is risen, He is risen indeed!!!
Valerie, that is one of my absolute favorite hymns and we sing it every Easter at church. What a vivid reminder of Christ’s sacrificial love for us and the exciting news of Him defeating death & the devil and rising victorious!! And now we have eternity with Him to look forward to. :-)
It truly is a victory song! Blessed Easter to you!
Happy Easter!! Congratulations to the winners. Thank you authors for all your hard work on the blog. God bless you.
Happy Resurrection Day!
Happy Easter!!
To you, too!
He is risen, indeed!
Congratulations!
Blessings, Denise!
Yes Jesus Has Risen!
Have a great week!
He is risen, indeed! Another beautiful resurrection song is “Was it a morning like this?” by Sandi Patty (available on Youtube). James Ward’s “Morning Sun” is a fun addition to an Easter song grouping. While it is available on Youtube, the recording is poor. You can find it as the first song at https://jamesward.bandcamp.com/album/james-ward-himself
Praise the Lord! He is risen to reign forever more!
Oh a big DEFINITE yes to that Sandi Patti song! I haven’t heard the James Ward one. Thanks for sharing!
He is risen indeed, and what a joyous reminder of the foundation for our salvation :)! Hope you all had a blessed Easter!
Hey Priscila! Have a great week :)
