“Think about the lilies. They grow and become beautiful, not because they work hard or strive to clothe themselves. Yet not even Solomon, wearing his kingly garments of splendor, could be compared to a field of lilies. If God can clothe the fields and meadows with grass and flowers, can he not clothe you as well, O struggling one with so many doubts?” (Luke 12:27-28 The Passion Translation)

Congratulations to the winners. God bless you.
God gave us free will too. Not everyone has the capacity for clothing with the taste of a field of lillies though. I can appreciate the beauty of the lillies and still end up looking scruffy, lol!
Great verse….needed to hear that today ❤️
Happy Sunday!
Oh, you made me laugh. So true LOL.
Blessings on your Sunday!
Oh, I agree Dianne! Also, some people need to be taught that modesty is good! Have a blessed Sunday!! Are the lilies in the picture yours, Valerie??
Hi Trudy! No, not my photo. At the bottom of the post I credited it to Pixabay. Even if I had lilies (which I don’t, sadly) they might be two inches tall at this time of year! Definitely not blooming.
I, too, needed that reminder. Our heavenly father is more than able to meet our needs. So, if we are going through the valley, He has a purpose for it and for us. What a blessed reminder of a bedrock truth. Thank you!
“He’s the lily of the valley, the bright and morning star. He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul…”
I love lilies, they are probably my most favorite flower! My favorite ones are the tiger lilies. Where our City Hall is located here in town, they have planted those type of lilies and I love when they come up every year. So pretty!!
And such a great reminder of the verse you shared Luke 12:27-28. God has met every need of mine & I’ve not had to worry or fret about anything. I love that blessed assurance :-)
Happy Sunday all you wonderful IR folks!! Today on the Oregon coast the sun is shining & the temperature is just right at about 63 degrees. Lovely weather for a walk!
Thanks for the reminder! I need to get out this afternoon, too :)
Nothing is blooming (yet!) for me here in FL, either! My plumeria’s are just now starting to put out leaves, the crepe myrtles are putting out leaves, some magnolia’s are blooming, but not mine! My gardenia hasn’t started blooming, either! We’re to get rain tomorrow and Tuesday, so hopefully that will help!!
Beautiful lilies. Congratulations winners.
I will be thinking about the lilies.
:)
Happy Sunday!
